St Anthony's Cottage is perfect for two couples or a family of 4 looking for luxurious accommodation and fantastic views. The property is comprised of two downstairs bedrooms (one king-sized double and one twin room) both with French doors that open on to an elevated decking area. There is also an en-suite bathroom with shower plus a family bathroom with shower over bath situated downstairs.

The open-plan living area is upstairs and offers panoramic views of the local coastline, when the weather is favourable the sliding glass panels can be opened to create a sitting room with unobstructed views across to Porlock Bay. There is also a dining area and well equipped kitchen upstairs.

Please note: No children under the age of 11, please contact us regarding young babies.

Appliances and equipment

St Anthony's kitchen is fitted with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.

A television, DVD player and CD player is provided. Wireless broadband is available throughout the property.

Electricity and heating

Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. St Anthony's Cottage benefits from modern storage heaters plus a wood burner in the living room; kindling, matches and one basket of logs will be provided. Additional logs can be purchased from the hardware shop in Porlock.

Linen and towels

Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.

Other provisions

A small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available.

Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing powder and surface cleaner will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided.

Outside the property

St Anthony's Cottage has a large private garden and decking area on the ground floor.

Parking

Secure off-road parking for one car is available directly outside the property.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (maximum of 2). A supplementary fee of £25 will be added to your invoice. Please do not allow you dogs on the furniture or in the bedrooms and do not leave them alone in the property at any time.

Smoking

St Anthony's Cottage is strictly non-smoking.

Local amenities

The harbour is the 'centre' of Porlock Weir, which is less than 1/4 mile from St Anthony's Cottage. There are two restaurants (The Cafe and Miller's at the Anchor), a pub (all three are dog-friendly) and a range of individual shops such as tea rooms, Exmoor Glass and Studio 7 (imported beautiful textiles).

The village of Porlock is approximately 1.5 miles from St Anthony's Cottage and boasts three pubs, two grocery shops, a traditional local butcher, chemist, cash machine, petrol station, hardware shop, visitor centre and a range of independent restaurants, shops and tea rooms.

Many of the shops in Porlock Weir and Porlock are open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm, although hours are often extended during the summer season. Conversely, some shops also reduce their opening hours out of season.

Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 7 miles from St Anthony's Cottage. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrison's are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.

Asda and Sainsbury's offer an online grocery shopping and delivery service to this area; please ensure you are at the property for the time you have booked your delivery.

Arrival and departure

The property will be ready from 4 pm on the day of your arrival. Please depart by 10 am on the last day of your stay. Please leave the property clean and tidy so that we can guarantee it will be ready on time for our next guests.

Changeover days

St Anthony's Cottage is available for week breaks (Friday to Friday) during the peak season (from May to September). Short breaks of three or four nights (from Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday) are available from October to April (excluding Christmas and Easter).
