Filanda is a new apartment in Cima, near Porlezza on Lake Lugano, overlooking the lake and the village; located in a very sunny position with a beautiful garden. The apartment has two bedrooms, sofa bed for 2 extra guests, one bathroom, a balcony and garage. The road from Porlezza to Lugano runs between the apartment and the garden which is situated directly on the lake. In Porlezza you will find supermarkets, banks, Farmacia, Tabacchi and fuel station. There is a local bus service running to Lake Como/Lugano from the main promenade in Porlezza.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area
Overlooking the beautiful lake of Lugano with the breathtaking mountains as a backdrop and only quarter of a mile from the old town of Porlezza. The views from this apartment are magnificent. The apartment is ideally situated for anyone wishing to explore the enchanting Italian Lake district being centrally situated and very close to lake Como 10km and lake Maggiore 20km. The Italian/Swiss border being only 6 km away means you can also discover the delights of Switzerland the city of Lugano being only 10 km away. The winter ski slopes of Switzerland are approximately 1hr 30 minutes drive away. This apartment and its south facing position make it an ideal all year round holiday situation
Porlezza / Cima area
Porlezza is a fifteen-minute walk away along the lakeside pedestrian old road. The town is unspoilt and picturesque with many old cobbled streets where you will find traditional shops such as bakeries, butchers, delicatessens, gelaterias, post office and church. There are many cafes and restaurants, designer clothes shops and of course the old hardware shop! The town is full of character and will provide for your every need in a quiet way. There are so many places of interest to visit it is impossible to list them all however when you have explored places local to Porlezza other places you might want to visit are: Bergamo an old city that is also well worth exploring and of course for the shopaholics how could you not visit Milan. Lake Garda to the east is approx 3 hours drive and Venice is also possible as a day excursion.

Cleaning Costs There is a final cleaning cost of €70 when staying for one week & €90 when staying for two weeks with all bed-linen & towels included. If staying for two weeks or more – the bed-linen & towels will be refreshed after each week. All utility usage such as water, electricity & gas, are included in the rental price.

Additional Facilities We offer a range of facilities, which are available for hire through our office ‘Happy Holiday Homes’ in Menaggio: Cot Hire - EU 20 per week, High Chair - EU 15 per week, Push Chair - EU 25 per week, Italian Mobile Phone - EU 15 per week, Mountain Bikes - EU 60 per week, Internet Access - EU 15 per week, Air Conditioning- EU 80 per week, (only if the property has an AirCon Unit and you would like to use it), Boat Mooring - EU 150 per week, (only if there is a boat mooring available at the rental property).
Payments by Credit/Debit Card & Wire Transfer There are no additional charges for credit or debit card payments. However, all bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the sender. To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our booking form online and pay a 30% deposit. The remaining balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.
