The Istria region
With warm summers and mild winters Istria is a fantastic place to visit all year round. Being on the coast this property is close to numerous safe swimming areas and is surrounded by historic small villages and nestled within vineyards and olive groves.
Porec area
For those who enjoy shopping Porec is full of small shops selling local crafts and jewellery and there is a daily market where you can soak up the atmosphere and buy the local produce. Within easy reach Pula has a renowed restored roman ampitheatre and a more bustling atmosphere.
During July an August there are numerous festivals in the local area where you can mingle with the locals and enjoy the local food and wine.
How to get there
During winter months there are daily Ryan Air flights to Trieste, Italy. Porec is only a 1 1/2 hour drive from the airport with car hire readily available. There is also a bus service to Porec for those who can not drive (except on Sundays). From Spring through to November there are 3 flights a week to Pula which is only a 30 minute drive - again car hire, taxis and a bus service to Porec are available .
