Porches - Villa Mariana Do Sol - Sleeps 12 plus 4 Children. Usual Arrival day Thursday. Heated swimming pool, Table Tennis - Aircon. Car would be an advantage - 6 large Double Bedrooms. 5 Bathrooms - This relatively new villa has been impeccably decorated and furnished.
Each bedroom has its own colour scheme with co-ordinating soft furnishings and all the Bathrooms have corner baths. The architecture is attractive and interesting with curved walls and an impressive circular entrance hall. The modern Kitchen is very well equipped with two enormous fridge/freezers and a built in cooker.
The sitting room is well furnished with a plush, curved Sofa - a lovely Dining Suite and a wood burning Stove. There are mosquito nets on all doors and windows. The villa is on a large plot of land and is close to the village of Porches and Armação de Pêra with good restaurants and a long sandy beach. It is also a short drive from the lively resort of Praia do Carvoeiro.

Utility Room: In addition to the Washing Machine located in the Kitchen, two futher Washing Machines are located in the downstairs Pool Room along with an additional Ironing Board and cloth drying facilities.
Living Rooms:
Air Conditioning - Sky TV - DVD Surround Sound - Stereo Radio and CD player with very comfortable seating at various locations in a Lounge that is more than 36 Feet by 25 Feet.
Other:
The Games Room located under the Kitchen Terrace where a number of Games are provided including a Full Size Table Tennis Table - Pool and Snooker Table - Football Table - Badminton Net - a further Stereo System and Cooler Fan.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service twice per week:
All towels (including Pool Towels) and Bed Linen are provided - Maid Service is available for two of the Week Days each week at around mid-day for Two Hours each day.

The Swimming Pool Heating System includes a quality fitted Heat Retention Cover. As a consequence, Swimming is possible all year round. The Villa has two mobile Webber BBQ's with all the necessary BBQ equipment. The advantage of the Webber BBQ's are that you can have a BBQ anywhere you wish. Outside dining facilities are located on both the Pool Terrace and on the Kitchen Terrace. On the Kitchen Terrace there is a large very attractive Marquee that provides the necessary shade from the sun when dining during the day and a very special location for dining at night. On the Pool Terrace we have a Very Large Sun Umbrella with many more Small Sun Umbrellas at various location.
The Marquee is illuminated at might providing a very special location for those very late and warm evenings.
Additional Shower Facility are located on the Pool Terrace. The Shower Water might be cold but is very refreshing on a hot summers day.

Notes on accommodation
Air conditioning is included as required - Pool Heating £150 per week - Two Double Bedrooms are located on the lower ground floor providing a private facility for perhaps a family unit that is part of the booking. There is also a Double Bed Settee located in one of the Double Bedrooms supporting accommodation for a total of up to 6 Persons if required.
As a consequence of 4 bedrooms and all the main facilities being located on the ground floor - the villa is particularly Child Friendly and Wheelchair Friendly.
Conditions
25% Deposit will secure the reservation. The balance to be paid 90 days before arrival. A £600 Villa Damage Security Deposit is required with the final payment. Please Note that the Villa Damage Security Deposit will be refunded within 30 days of your departure providing no damage has occurred.
The Algarve / Central Algarve region
Coast/Beach
Miles of gorgeous, golden, sandy beaches, calm clear waters and bays interspersed with rugged cliffs and enchanting grottoes; the Algarve is amongst the top European holiday destinations. The South of Portugal was the last place to gain independence from the Moors in 1292, conquered by the King Dom Afonso III and even today traces of the Moorish presence are visible in the unique terraces, chimneys and whitewashed villas.
Despite the obvious influence of tourism, a short drive inland reveals the true Algarve where life goes on much as it has for many centuries. This brightly coloured region with orange groves, almond trees in blossom and fragrant pines is also the most verdant and fertile. GOLF
Portugal, and in particular, the Algarve, is renowned for its magnificent Golf Courses which is why it is considered a golfer's paradise. There are many courses within easy reach of Vila Marianna such as The Pinta and The Gramacho courses at neighbouring Carvoeiro. There's also the championship course of Penina just a ten minute drive away. Keen golfers' find that the location of this Villa ideal to combine both a beach and golfing holiday and it also works well for partners and families who do not participate in the sport.
Diving, Fishing, Horse Riding, Paragliding, Sailing, Tennis, Water Skiing and Windsurfing are all pursuits that are available in close proximity to the villa.

What a delightful holiday our group of 8 Canadian women had at Villa Marianna! It was perfect accommodation for such a group on our first villa vacation. Although we found it a bit of a challenge to first find the villa after orienting ourselves it proved to be a very convenient location for our daily excursions around the Algarve and the Alentejo. Portugal is a wonderful country and we enjoyed its people and its sites.
