Home description

Villa Videira is ideal for family holidays being in a quiet location but only a short distance to the wonderful sandy beach and resort of Armacao de Pera which is only a five minute drive or 30 minutes walking. A car is advised.
It is surrounded by a pretty garden and large patio for relaxing around the pool which has the sun on it all day long.

The Algarve region

The Algarve has a lovely climate and generally is around 30 deg June through until end of September. There is normally a gentle breeze that gets up most afternoons in the summer which is very welcome.
The inland town of Silves is approx a 20 minute drive. Here is a castle which you can look around and down by the riverside are plenty of bars and restauants cooking chicken piri-piri which is a popular spicy dish.
There are numerous golf courses in the area and during the summer there are normally special deals with green fees and buggies.

Porches area

Armacao de Pera was once a small fishing village but has now been expanded into a fair size town. The long sandy beach stretches for miles and is one of the nicest beaches on the Algarve.
There are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops in the town. Boat trips can be organized from the local fishermen.
Aqualand water park is approx 5 minutes drive from the villa and Zoomarine theme and Dolphin Park is a 10 minute drive as is the very popular Algarve Shopping Mall at Guia.
The village of Porches has some very nice up-market restaurants and is only 5 minutes drive. There are also some lovely pottery shops here where you can watch the handmade pottery being painted.

How to get there

Fly to Faro Airport which is 40 minutes drive to the villa.
Cheap flights available from Easyjet, Flybe, Thompson Fly, Ryan Air, Monarch, BMI Baby, Jet 2
Car hire is advised and available from Alfaro Rent. www.alfarorent.pt
Transfers are available by people carrier at approx 50/60 Euros for 6 people each way

The accommodation comprises
Lounge/diner with patio doors onto the pool and patio area. TV with English channels is provided.
Kitchen is fully fitted
1 Twin bedrooms downstairs with a family bathroom
Upstairs is the master bedroom with double bed and patio doors leading onto a balcony with lovely views down to the coast. This bedroom has its own en-suite.

Further details outdoors:
The private pool is 10x5 metres and there is plenty of poolside furniture for relaxing on and tables and chairs for al-fresco dining. There is a purpose built charcoal b-b-q

Further details

Christina looks after the villa for you and comes in to do the maid service several times a week and her Husband looks after the pool and garden

Conditions

No animals are allowed and bookings preferred from couples and families (no all male/female) parties accepted.
£100 pw deposit secures a booking. Balance payable 10 weeks before start of holiday. If a booking is made and it is less than 10 weeks to start of holiday the total amount will be due when booking.
Maps and details regarding keys will be sent when all monies have been paid.
