The Algarve region
The Algave is a beautiful region in the south of Portugal. The climate boasts over 300 days of sunshine per year,making it very pleasant for out of season holidays. The region has many interesting places to visit within an easy drive of Casa Limao, including Porches with it's famous pottery & the historic town of Silves.
Porches area
Casa Limao is on the development of Zul Mar, next door to the 5* Hotel Vila Vita Parc, 5 mins drive west of the resort of Armacao de Pera. The beaches in this area are superb - the nearest one to Casa Limao (a 7 min. walk) is an atmospheric cove, whist the long safe stretch of golden sand in Armacao, backed by the promenade with numerous restaurants & bars, is a welcome contrast.
There are two water parks - Aqualand is a 5 minute drive, Slide & Splash 10 minutes. Zoomarine is 10 minutes drive. Boat trips are available from The Fishermans beach along the coast to see the caves & rock formations. Water sports & diving available locally. Numerous golf course are in the area - details can be provided on request. The nature reseves of the dunes east of Armacao are well worth a visit.
Within an easy drive of Casa Limao there are many places to visit including Porches with it's famous pottery & the historic town of Silves. For some reatil therapy visit Algarve Shopping (10 min drive) for Zara, Mango etc!!
How to get there
Casa Limoa is a 30 minute drive from Faro Airport.
Flights are available from most UK airports & by numerous operators including: EasyJet, Monarch,Thomsonfly, Flybe, First Choice, British Airways & TAP etc.
Car Hire is available at the airport.
Airport transfers by private taxi (under 40 Euros) or minibus.
