The entire property has been fully refurbished (2009) and is comprehensively equipped throughout. Open plan living / dining accommodation, separate fully fitted kitchen complete with dishwasher facility. There is one bedroom (kingsize double) with stunning views out to the harbour and Brownsea Island. Modern family bathroom (bath with shower over). The property also has the benefit of an enclosed patio garden area complete with barbecue and table and chairs for al fresco dining.

The Retreat is situated in a prominent position on Poole Sea Front and is an ideal base for guests to explore the surrounding area. There are stunning views for the guests to enjoy. The property has been furnished to a high standard for two persons. An excellent memory foam mattress is provided in the bedroom and it is dressed in pristine Egyptian Cotton linen. The house was cleaned to an immactulate standard and the welcome tray is a thoughtful gesture for the guests on arrival.
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Retreat, we found it to be very clean and tidy and it had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the special touches, such as the bottle of wine and our welcome pack - it was very thoughtful, it was also nice having the table set, so we could just sit down for our tea after such a long journey. "We have had a lovely week in your lovely house. The house is perfectly situated near to Poole Quay, loved strolling into Poole centre. We had gorgeous weather (30 degrees !!) so really appreciated the fan! Very thoughtful touches such as coffee, soap etc, especially enjoyed having the bottle of wine chilling in the fridge on our arrival (7 hours travelling, motorway closed!!). Overally amazing stay and amazing holiday visiting Lyme Regis (lovely seaside town), Swanage (try boat trip from Poole Quay, Great!), Lulworth Cove (lovely beach, don't wear flipflops!). Hope to stay again next year!! xx"

Quay Holidays prepare the beds with crisp white linen, provide fluffy bath towels and even 'Quay Holidays' beach towels for your personal use. A 'welcome pack' is provided consisting of fair-trade tea, coffee, milk, sugar and local biscuits. In addition, 'White Company' products in the bathrooms, and other essentials, including a complimentary bottle of chilled wine, await your arrival. In recent VisitBritain assessments the assessor commented on numerous occasions “Guests are provided with a very good welcome pack, and the property is clearly managed extremely efficiently by the agent [Quay Holidays].”

The West Country region

The county town of Dorchester is situated towards the South of the County, with other notable towns including Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth as well as many smaller towns dotted around the County. Being a predominantly rural county around 50% of Dorset population resides in the South-East of the County around the towns of Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and their districts.
Poole is a great place to visit at any time of the year. Our harbour is the second biggest natural harbour in the World, after Sydney, and whether you are by it, on it, or in it, it’s a stunning sight! Poole is also a great base for exploring the Jurassic Coast and the Purbecks to the East, and Britain’s newest National Park, the New Forest, to the West.
Poole is the place to come for outdoor activity. We have wind-surfing schools, kite-surfing, kayaking tours, fishing excursions, Brownsea Island, and some of the best sandy beaches in Europe – all on our doorstep! And for those who fancy stretching their legs with a post-lunch stroll try the South-West Coastal Path, which starts right here!
The Georgian Old Town and Quay offer a great variety of food and drink, with excellent bars and restaurants offering a huge choice of cuisines, and most of our properties are within a comfortable walking distance.
From the Quay, shoppers can stroll up the pedestrianized High Street, which offers a wide range of retail outlets and facilities. Safe Blue Flag sandy beaches at Sandbanks and Branksome Chine are just 15 minutes away by car and the natural beauty of The New Forest is approximately 30 minutes distance away. A short trip on the Sandbanks chain ferry offers the option of even more beautiful beaches skirted by sand dunes and walks in the historic Purbeck Hills.

lovely perfectly located house great views of harbour , ideal parking as parking in poole difficult, everything you could possibly need ,home from home, cant wait to go back
