Home description
Le Pretre is one of two adjoining self-catering cottages (each sleeping 4 plus a cot), situated in the one acre walled garden of a former presbytery. The cottage has been professionally renovated and is decorated and furnished to a high standard, offering very comfortable accommodation, which includes a wood burner, dishwasher and washing machine. There are two large lawn areas and both indoor and outdoor toys for children, including a scooter and three bikes. There are also two adult bikes, which guests are welcome to use. There is also a football goal, a badminton set and boules.
Le Pretre is in the centre of a small quiet village between the two picturesque towns of Pontrieux and Lanvollon. The village of Treverec has a bar/restaurant, a picnic area, and a children's play area with a basket ball net. There are also public boule courts near the property.
Le Pretre is in a superb location with many places of interest to visit, such as the Abbaye de Beauport, the Chateau de la Roche Jagu, Paimpol, Treguier, Lannion, St Brieuc as well as the lighthouses, beaches and islands of the Goelo Coast and the Pink Granite Coast. Also just 1.5 hours away are Le Mont St Michel, St Malo, Dinard and Dinan.

The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region
The beautiful Cotes d'Armor region of Northern Brittany is generally renowned for its scenery and is popular with visitors for walking holidays, cycling, fishing, bird watching, golf, horse riding, water sports and of course the beaches. There are many restaurants offering a wide selection of menus. The coast of Northern Brittany is renowned for its shellfish and a speciality of the region are buckwheat pancakes, known as galettes, which are served with a variety of fillings.
Treverec is 15 minutes from the Goelo Coast, with its many seaside and harbour towns, such as Paimpol, Plouha, St Quay Portrieux, Binic and Etables sur Mer, and 25 minutes from the Pink Granite Coast, famous for its beautiful islands and interesting rock formations. Both coastlines offer wonderful sandy beaches, numerous rock pools to explore, rock climbing and safe bathing.
Pontrieux / Treverec area
Treverec is between the two picturesque towns of Pontrieux (Petite Cite de Caractere) and Lanvollon, with their selection of restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets. Every town in the area holds a weekly market and we particularly recommend the Tuesday market in Paimpol and the Thursday market in Lannion.
For those interested in architecture, there are many historic places to visit nearby, such as the Abbaye de Beauport, the Chateau de la Roche Jagu, the cathedral town of Treguier and Lannion. There are several beautiful gardens in the area, which are also well worth a visit. For a relaxing day out, why not take the ferry from Paimpol across to the beautiful Isle de Brehat which, because of its micro climate, has flowers blooming all year round.

Further details indoors: Downstairs: Le Pretre has an open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area. There is a large original granite fireplace with a wood burner. An initial fire is laid and a basket of logs is included in the price. Further logs may be purchased at 15 Euros per barrow load, which includes newspaper, kindling and fire-lighters. There are both English and French channels available on the television. The bathroom is also located on the ground floor. It has a full sized bath with a powerful thermostatically controlled shower. There is also a heated towel rail and the washing machine is also located here.
Upstairs: there is one double and one twin bedroom. There is also a large landing with a walk-in cupboard, housing the hot water tank and two clothes rails.
Le Cure, which is our other holiday cottage, sleeps the same number of people as Le Pretre and has exactly the same facilities. The two cottages may be rented together to provide accommodation for up to 8 plus two babies.
All prices include water, gas and electricity.
Further details outdoors: Outside Le Pretre has its own gravelled terrace with a stone table, three benches and parasol. There is also a barbecue.
You are welcome to use all the garden areas at the front and to the side of Le Presbytere. Parking for up to three cars is near the main entrance.
There is an undercover area next to Le Pretre for hanging washing etc. Also to be found here are more garden chairs and cushions, together with games and children's toys. There are also two adult and three children's bicycles.

All the above prices include bed linen, towels, tea towels, water, gas and electricity. A laid fire in the woodburner, together with a basket of logs, is also included in the price.
Possible reductions on ferry prices may be available upon request.
Payment for bookings may be made in £ sterling or in euros.
A separate security deposit of £100 will also be required. This is held in case of any loss or damage to the property or its contents.
During the main months of the summer holiday season, our rental periods run from Saturday to Saturday. However, we are able to be more flexible with changeover days at all other times of the year and also welcome longer winter lets at very reduced prices.
