Heron Court is on garden level and comprises a spacious en-suite double bedroom with room for cot and a lounge/diner with French doors leading directly onto the garden. Equipped with English satellite TV/video/DVD compatible with UK video cassettes and a CD player.

Heron Court has been fitted out to a very high standard. The kitchen includes everything you would expect in your own home such as microwave, iron and ironing board etc. All bed linen and towels are provided and changed weekly. Bikes for hire on site. Washing machines and dryers available on site.

The Brittany / Morbihan region

St Nicolas des Eaux is the very heart of the beautiful Blavet Valley. The village nestles on the banks of the River Blavet which is internationally famous for its fishing. This very friendly village, which is literally two minutes walk from La Maison Magique and Heron Court, has a selection of bars and restaurants. Fresh bread and croissants are delivered daily or can be ordered the night before. The only time you will need your car is for your occasional trip to the nearby supermarkets to stock up with your favourite wine - Muscadet or Cotes du Rhone £1 a bottle.

Worth a visit is the 16th century chapel of St Nicodeme at the entrance to St Nicolas des Eaux and the amazing Chateau at Pontivy. Our central position brings just about everywhere in Brittany within driving reach including numerous beaches, the inland gulf of Morbihan and coastal, archaeological and historical attractions such as the standing stones at Carnac.

Pontivy / Plumeliau area

Visitors to St Nicolas des Eaux are spoiled for choice for places to visit and things to do. Within the village bicycles can be rented for a lazy cycle along the river towpath and there is a Canoe/Kayak club where visitors are welcome. On the river there are pedaloes for hire. Within a few minutes driving distance there is open air go-karting, heated swimming pool with watersports facilities, forest adventure park, ten-pin bowling and tennis courts, and for those interested in water sports there is the largest lake in Brittany. The area is a delight for ramblers, bird watchers, golfers - with 6 courses in the area, horse riders and especially for those who really enjoy their food - you can have a five course meal including wine for around 10 euros.

The accommodation can be increased by the addition of an adjoining spacious en-suite family bedroom with double and single beds and room for child's cot at a cost of an additional £100 per week.

The property has its own private furnished terrace with barbecue and garden area. There is a large communal garden with lawns, trees and shrubs leading down to the towpath of the River Blavet. In the garden there is a large patio and seating area and a communal barbecue with picnic tables and hammocks dotted throughout. The garden, over an acre, is half laid to lawn and half woodland and provides a very safe environment where children can roam and play. Next door there are boules courts and a children's playground and by the pool are more boules courts, crazy golf, table tennis and a poolside bar. Just a few minutes walk brings you to the bars and restaurants of St Nicolas des Eaux.
