Home description
Comfortable cottage situated in picturesque riverside village with large enclosed garden close to River Blavet. Three double bedrooms, two doubles and one twin with space for a cot. Large farmhouse kitchen with range sized cooker, freezer, fridge and dishwasher .Spacious lounge and dining room. Furnished and equipped to the highest standard. Garden furniture and B.B.Q. Sunbeds. Fruit trees. Games area available, table tennis, games, DVDS, books. Our own self drive 20ft. motor launch for hire at £50 per day to include fuel. FREE new mountain bikes. The best Carp fishing and fishing rods for hire. We can supply bait for your fishing trips and can advise on good fishing spots on the river. Permits can be obtained at our local hotel for a nominal fee. Situated in the centre of the village, a leisurely stroll to all amenities and activities.

The Brittany / Morbihan region
The climate is temperate and tends to be about 4 degrees warmer than southern England in the summer. It has the advantage of the gulf stream. There are many historical sites locally with the village itself being of great interest. The Gulf of Morbihan with it's beautiful sandy beaches and picturesque fishing ports are only a short drive away, Josselin has a magnificent Chateau on the banks of the Nantes Brest Canal with English speaking tours. Carnac has a safe sandy beach. We are situated in an excellent central position and there is an abundance of places to explore within an hours drive away.
Pontivy / Plumeliau area
During the summer months there are numourous festivals or Pardons in the area where a good meal and home made crepes can be enjoyed and on 14th July a festival and crafts market is held in the village climaxed in the evening by a magnificent firework display over the river. There are markets held locally where fresh produce can be bought. The river fishing is excellent and some of the best in France where international competitions are held. Carp, Pike and Zander are the main catch of the day. There are some really good trout streams locally. Go-carting quad-biking, pony-trekking, An activity park for the very active are all available close by. Water sports are on Lac Guerledan with its small beaches, 25 minutes drive away.
How to get there
Cheap flights available from Flybe from Southampton and Exeter to Brest and Rennes , car hire at the airport. Flights with Ryanair from Luton and Stanstead to Dinard ,car hire available at air port. Ferries to St. Malo, Roscoff, Caen and Cherbourg. The channel tunnel is also possible with a good road to the village takes approximately 6 hours. Cheap ferry from Dover to Bolougne(Speedferries)

Further details outdoors: A sunny large secure garden suitable for small children. There is a terrace and a large grassed area. Fruit and nut trees that provide apples and delicious plums for your use as well as walnuts and cob nuts. Sun beds, Garden Furniture and BBQ. 4 Adult bikes and 2 bikes suitable for 8-12yrs are available free of charge these are new mountain bikes also included are a trailer bike for 4-9yrs and a trailer to hold two toddlers . Other bikes can be hired locally, e.g tandems. A motor riverboat is available for hire for £50 per day with instruction included, Fishing excursions( rods are available for hire along with bait ) and evening Champagne cruises.
Further details
Swimming pool is based in small local hotel 50metres from the cottage and is free for my guests. There is also an outside bar, boules court and crazy golf on the same site. It is a chance to really mix with the local people. The cottage is suitable for longer lets for those who may be house hunting. The local schools are excellent and a bus for the children goes from outside the door. Long term lets available from the end of September until the end of April.

During the winter months an extra charge will be made for logs with the exception of the Christmas period / New Year period. During the mid and low season short breaks are available. B&B and / or Evening meals can be arranged on stays of 3 nights or more. A first night meal can be arranged by prior arrangement.
