Whether you are tempted by the local seafood restaurants, markets, many beaches within an hour's drive or just relaxing in the sun waiting for the barbeque to warm up, this is a remarkable destination to recharge your batteries. The Brittany / Morbihan region
Brittany enjoys a pleasant climate - generally slightly warmer than the south of the UK. The area is very picturesque and is steeped in history with visits recommended to Rennes, Josselin, Pontivy, Concarneau and Pont Aven. Brittany's beautiful north and south coasts are both within an hour's drive with beaches at Carnac, Benodet, Binic and Dinard well worth a visit.
Pontivy / Treberien area
Brittany's largest lake Lac de Guerledan is just ten minutes drive away with superb views, three small beaches, restaurants, and a range of watersports activities. The area is fantastic for cycling - either by the rivers and canals, or on part of the Tour de France route for the more adventurous. Most of the local towns hold thriving markets for a true taste of rural France.
How to get there
- Travel via Brittany Ferries to Roscoff or St Malo (ask us about discounts) - both less than two hour's drive away. - Fly with Ryanair or Flybe to Dinard or Brest, pick up a hire car at the airport it's a simple two hour drive to the property.
