This apartment’s name evokes one of the vineyards of the degli Azzoni Avogadro estate. The Merlot grape is of French origin but present throughout the world because of its famous adaptability. The result is an intense ruby-red wine, fruity and aromatic but also tannic, full-bodied and well-balanced. The Merlot attic apartment, with its ruby red furnishings, contains a double bedroom, living/dining room with double sofa-bed, a kitchen and bathroom. On the loft there is another sofa-bed and two single beds. It's situated on the first floor.
The Tuscany region
Tuscany is one of Italy’s best-loved regions. It combines a beautiful countryside reminiscent of the landscapes of Renaissance masterpieces, a rich artistic heritage including exquisite art and architecture, a glorious history, excellent wines and delicious food. Tuscany is also well known for its splendid landscapes with charming low hills covered with olive groves, vineyards, woods, isolated cypress trees, and beautiful old farmhouses. Tuscany is a refuge for the spirit as well as an ideal place for rambles or for idle contemplation of views that have not changed in centuries. Every town offers unique characteristics, charm, and regional cuisine making each one worthy of your time.

Pontedera is so easy to get to being at the centre of Tuscany’s road network and with international airports of Pisa and Florence. It is on the main rail and road route from Pisa to Florence. (It's about 15 km east of Pisa so a good stop-off on the way to Florence).
