Ground floor : sitting/dining room (30m2), working fire-place, large sofa, TV, dining table and 10 chairs; small sitting-room with second TV + DVD player; kitchen fully equipped; separate lavatory; twin-bedded room (14m2); shower-room with basin, laundry with washing-machine and clothes dryer.
First floor : 4 twin-bedded rooms (14 - 9 - 20 - 10 m2); bathroom with 2 basins and lavatory + showerrroom with 1 basin and lavatory.
Large garden with terrace and lawn, swings, barbecue, table tennis. Animals running all around on owner's farm.
Nearest shops : 8 km - nearest town : 12 km
You will spend very quiet holidays with the owners and their animals as only neighbours.

Very light house, specially adapted to children with a large bedroom with toys, and a separate small living-room with television + DVD player.

Further details outdoors:
Very quiet house, in the bottom of a cul-de-sac, only shared by the owner's farmhouse. Safe, no main road near. Owner's horses, ponies, goats, sheep and cows rambling all around. Fufuche pony sometimes takes children (until 12) out for a free walk. Also free : communal tennis courts (tarmac) at 8 km, (just ask for the keys).

For weekly rental, arrival on Saturday, but on any other day, if possible.
Week-Ends (from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon) and Mid-Weeks (from Monday afternoon to Friday morning) also possible : 400 € .
Owner speaks French, Dutch and English.

Conditions

In order to book : after e-mail contact, please send a cheque of 25% of the total cost. which cheque I'll keep, to avoid very expensive bank costs and which I'll give you back in exchange for the total cost in Euros, the day of your arrival.

The Normandy / Calvados region

The Pays d'Auge is renowned for its production of cider and calvados. There are large distilleries but still plenty of small producers. Its climate is favourable to breeding of dairy-cattle and production of excellent cheeses like Camember, Pont-l'Evèque and Livarot. You will discover all these products on numerous farmers markets as you drive around the region.
Many beaches at 25 km ; Deauville, Trouville.
Museums and historical sites (D-Day landing beaches : 50 km ; Bayeux' famous tapestry : 90 km )
Beautiful castels and manors all over the "Pays d'Auge". Château de Combray.

“Perfect holiday get away!” We were a party of two families. (11 in total) We arrived in the evening to a very welcome greeting from the owner Isabelle who couldn't of been more helpful throughout our stay. The house was spacious,clean and the kitchen was well supplied with utensils etc. A beautiful setting in open countryside, yet getting any where local towns, coast etc was an easy drive away. Would we go back? Oh YES!!!

“Wonderful Stay” We had a wonderful Christmas holiday with all the family (9 of us in all). The property was very well equipped, clean and very welcoming. What better than a huge open log fire and peace and quiet. The children loved the nearby pets and also made much fuss of the nearby horses and donkey. The owner made us very welcome and we would certainly like to go back again.

“Lovely spacious Farmhouse , great location, friendly people & v.relaxing!” We recently spent a wonderful relaxing week at 'La Ferme de Forge'. It is a beautiful old farmhouse in lovely farmland setting. There were 7 of us staying and there was plenty of room. Surrounded by fields and orchards. Lovely garden & surrounding area, great for kids to run around in and there are swings and other outdoor play items for the children. Animals for the children to pet and they also had a ride on the pony! It is in a great location with only a short journey to the lovely beaches, many pretty surrounding villages & there is a great zoo only 5 mins away! Isabelle, the owner, is a really lovely lady who makes you feel very welcome. We would definately return here for another holiday either in the same house or in the smaller cottage Tante Agnes which we had a look around, it is a lovely place and would be ideal for up to 6 people. Thank you for a lovely holiday!
