The Paphos District

The nearby Akamas National Park is renowned as an area of outstanding natural beauty. Its coast is lined by unspoilt beaches and clear blue waters. The unspoilt surrounding countryside and villages offer you the chance to taste the real Cyprus.

Cyprus has a very ancient history with many sites available to visit all over the island; the Polis-Paphos area include The Baths of Aphrodite, The Tombs of the Kings, The Amphitheatre at Curium and the Mosaics at The House of Dionysos plus much more.

It is well worth making a trip into the Troodos mountains to see the Moufflon at Stavros tis Psokas, the Kykkos Monastery and the views in the Cedar Valley.

Pomos

Pomos is a small fishing village located on the west coast of Paphos, 20 kilometres from the nearest town Polis and approximately 60 minutes from Paphos International Airport. The scenery of the Pomos region is spectacular with lush green mountains falling gracefully to the sea. The small harbour of Pomos is the central focal point of local life with colourful fishing boats laden with nets. The two small beaches on either side of the harbour offer safe swimming and snorkling and a wonderful place to relax in the sun. Situated around the harbour are two tavernas renowned for excellent fresh fish dishes. The small village centre has two supermarkets, a choice of restaurants, a coffee shop and a bank.

A 25min drive away is the town of Latchi with a marina, and an abundance of restaurants. Latchi is also a centre for watersports and day trips to the Akamas Peninsula. For golfers there is the Tsada Golf Course approximately 30 minutes drive from Latchi or alternatively within an hours drive you will find the Secret Valley Golf Club or the Aprodite Hills Golf Club.

"Relaxing, peaceful, comfortable and delightful place"

Situated on a beautiful bay, overlooking a small but interesting harbour, you can while away the hours relaxing on a comfortable sun bed in the pretty garden and an occasional dip in the generous sized pool or take a cold drink up on to the roof terrace and admire the view. Gentle strolls around the locality and along the cliffs. A very good restaurant is close by and convenient with a reputation for its sea food cuisine if you don't want to cook in the well appointed kitchen and dine al fresco on the terrace under the arches. Relax in the evening in the comfy sitting area and watch British tv (if that's what you want!). Sea bathing from the pebbly beach is but a few minutes walk away. Short drives (on the left!) up into the Troodos foothills bring you to stupendous views and little villages with excellent tavernas and local dishes. Shopping in the well stocked supermarkets in the nearest town, straight down the road, is easy - again with good restaurants. If you want to be more adventurous, its not far from the nearest border post to N. Cyprus.
