Excellent new 2 bed apartment in 5 Star development - consisting of two separate bedrooms (with double bed and other with two separate beds), living room with kitchenette and dining table for 4 persons. Master bedroom also has a balcony with sea view. Modern interior throughout with large front balcony over looking the beach with amazing views. Very impressive quality apartment.
Sunset Resort is a top class development situated on the South Beach in the town of Pomorie. The town benefits from quite a strategic location. It's a preferred vacation place, thanks to its charming and relaxing atmosphere.
It is just 15 minutes drive from Bourgas international Airport and 20 minutes from the second biggest city on the Black Sea coast – Burgas. It is just 20 minutes drive from the most reputable Bulgarian Black Sea resort – Sunny beach and the accent town of Nessebar, which is proclaimed an architectural and archeological reserve and included in the list of UNESCO.
Next to the resort is situated one of the best wineries in Bulgaria providing high quality white and red wines. The resort is next to the main road between Bourgas and Varna but at a distance enough to maintain a tranquil atmosphere for guests.

The Black Sea Coast region
Bulgarians call the Black Sea Coast in Bulgaria the "Front Garden of God". On the coast you will find more than 10 nature parks. In the coastal area you will find 300 hot water wells (600 in whole Bulgaria).
In the area of the Black Sea in Bulgaria you will find the beaches with fine pure white sands.
The water in the Black Sea is far from black, its turquoise blue and has a temperature of 24 degrees in the summer.
The sea water is not very salty because the whole Black Sea is surrounded by land and the only salt water that comes in the sea is coming from the river the Bosporus, which is the only connection with the Mediterranean Sea. The sea gradually goes deeper and there is virtually no tides so this makes it a perfect holiday destination for families. If you are lucky you can see dolphins swimming a long the coast.
Pomorie area
Pomorie is a well-known spa resort. It's famous for its Mud Baths, which were known to the Emperors of Byzantine. Today thousands of tourists come not only for the treatment with mud, but also for the magic charm of this small seaside town, situated on a small rocky peninsula
The old churches – the Transfiguration Church (dating back to 18th–19th centuries has a valuable iconostasis and icons) and the Assumption Church (19th century). A stone bas-relief of St. Georgi is preserved in the St. Georgi the Victorious Monastery of Pomorie. A museum collection is arranged in the house of Peyo Yavorov, the reknown Bulgarian poet and there is a monument to his honour near the Yavorov Rocks. A domed tomb-mausoleum (3rd-4th century) was found in the area of Kouhata Mogila near the Europa Camping. It is interesting for the construction resembling a funnel and is open to visitors.
Wine tasting evenings at Izbata. From reception arrange a tour and wine tasting evening at the first Bulgarian wine tourism estate, which is located within 10 minutes walk up the beach from the apartment. More information can be found from it's web page http://festa.bg/en/w_tour.aspx The webpage calls it Via Pontica , but the sign over its entrance now reads Izbata. Via Pontica name has now been used for the apartments in close proximity to it.
Old Pomorie is less than 5 mins away from Sunset Resort. It's land extends out into the sea to form a peninsula, and it's possible to walk all the way round it. Old Pomorie is a traditional Bulgarian coastal town. It was similar in appearance to the historic towns of Nessebar and Sozopol until the early part of this century when a large fire destroyed the majority of its wooden houses. Although some still remain towards the tip of the peninsula.
Travel by the evening "tourist steam train" in the summer season to enjoy the lively areas in Old Pomorie.It is a regular 15 minute shuttle service between New Pomorie and Old Pomorie. It's a small vehicle made to look like a steam train , which pulls open carriages of people behind it , and travels at about 10- 15mph and costs only 1leva.
Shopping in Bourgas, the second largest coastal city of Bulgaria 25 minutes away. With it's open air cafe's and restaurants and good quality shops, at a fraction of the price you would pay in the UK.
Sunset Resort is situated in New Pomorie, Old Pomorie is approximately 2km further down the road. Pomorie has a more relaxed ambiance than for instance Sunny Beach. It still has many tourists , but there is a more traditional feel about the town as there is still a high proportion of locals to tourists. Old Pomorie is an attractive area to walk through especially down its cobbled streets , and large promenade that follows the coastline towards Sunset Resort which is clearly visible in the distance. There is also a pier from which boat trips operate.
In the heart of the town behind the well known St Georges Hotel , there is a square where many locals have their own stalls selling goods and crafts. There are many restaurants and places to eat and drink. In the summer months all the shops stay open until very late, and the place is "buzzing". Population of Pomorie is around 20,000 people, its a fully functioning community, whereas in comparison Sunny Beach virtually closes down out of season.
New Pomorie also has a good selection of shops,from fresh fruit and vegetables, bakeries, corner shops, cafes and restaurants.
