The Oystercatcher pub stands near the top of the hill above the delightful village of Polzeath and has panoramic views of the beach and surrounding countryside, with sun terraces and garden surrounding the building. The apartments are located on the second, first and ground floors of the building and a number of them take advantage of these views.

The Oystercatcher is popular with visitors and locals alike and offers a very friendly welcome to all. Food is served mid-week from 12-3pm and 6-9pm with food available all day on Saturday and Sunday until 8pm (and they also do a Sunday roast!). Other than July and August, it is a venue for live music on Saturday nights but don't worry, they won't spoil your beauty sleep - the set usually finishes at 11.30pm and licensing hours are till midnight 7 days a week. We can't think of a better way to start your holiday - unpack the suitcase and then trot into the bar for a cup of tea or a pint!

In fact you could manage to do without the car all week if you like as everything you could possibly need is right there in the village - lovely big beach (great for children and for surfing), surf schools and hire, food shops, restaurants and magnificent coastal walks. Just down the road in Rock (about a mile and a half) is a Michelin star restaurant at the St Enodoc Hotel, Padstow is a quick ferry crossing away from Rock, and just down the road is Daymer Bay and Trebetherick.

If you fancy eating in Padstow there are also water taxis operating late into the evening from Rock. Also in Polzeath is a centre for a Voluntary Marine Wildlife Area initiated by North Cornwall Heritage Coast and Countryside Service, who also promote an understanding of the area through walks, talks and beach events. There are two golf courses within a 5 minute drive (St Enodoc has one of the finest links courses in the South West).

Two bedroom apartment located on the second floor with sea views from lounge and bedrooms. One bedroom with double and one bedroom with single and bunk beds.

Polzeath... celebrities, surfing and award winning dining

A favourite with Sir John Betjeman and mentioned in the first of Enid Blyton's Famous Five novels, the coastal landscape of Polzeath is still inspirational today. The area combines the joys of the traditional family beach holiday with a vibrant, surfing crowd making the most of some of the best waves and swells in the area.

Neighbouring Rock is a centre for many watersports including sailing, waterskiing and wind surfing. Top tip: take the Tor Passenger Ferry between Rock and Padstow on the opposite side of the estuary and you may be lucky enough to spot dolphins and even the awesome basking sharks attracted to this part of the coast during the season. Celebrity chefs abound in this part of Cornwall and Rock proudly boasts Nathan Outlaw's two restaurants with menus driven by locally caught seafood and organic produce ~ voted in the Top 5 UK Restaurants.

The area is also recognised for its' challenging links golf courses at St Enodoc and The Point - formerly Roserrow. Any visitor who plays to their handicap here can leave feeling that they have done really well! Or, if you feel that golf spoils a good walk, the "Pentirely Superb" South West Coast Path offers a 6 mile circular route starting and finishing at Polzeath via stunning Hayle Bay.
