The West Country region

Treglyn Farm, where the cottages are situated, is in a perfect spot for exploring Cornwall. It is only minutes away from Wadebridge from where you can access the main holiday routes up and down the north coast. Even the south coast is easily accessible.

The milder climate in Cornwall makes it a perfect place for a holiday even in the cooler months. Walking and discovering places off the beaten track, in the Autumn and early Spring can be a lovely holiday. There are plenty of local pubs with a nice warm fire and a friendly welcome to relax in at the end of your day.

Polzeath

This part of North Cornwall has lots to offer people of all ages. Families with younger children will love the calm waters of Daymer Bay with its wealth of rock pools to explore. Polzeath has something for everyone, children, teenagers or grandparents. A great beach usually with plenty of waves for surfing, cliff top walks, shops and eateries. Rock with its sailing and wind surfing and Padstow, made famous by Rick Stein, a lovely fishing harbour, with plenty to see and do. There are 2 golf courses nearby, Roserrow and St Enedocs

Just along the coast, Tintagel, Boscastle and Port Isaac, (the setting for TVs Doc Martin) If you want to explore the south coast or visit the Eden Project you can pick up the main tourist routes just up the road at Wadebridge.

"Calf Cottage Ideal location"

From the start excellent directions given with the bookings to find .Calf Cottage is a perfect self contained spacious one room ideal for a couple. Set in quiet area with other cottages with plenty of space. Location is also ideal for discovering the Polzeath area of Cornwall and also just a few miles from main roads to venture further afield . Holiday was very enjoyable exploring the coastal paths & beaches. Trevathan Farm shop has excellent restaurant for Sunday Lunch booking recommended just a few miles along the road and Rock has a good bakery and fish & chip shop .Rock is a good starting point for walks. My wife and I experienced a very enjoyable holiday
Just one point for Cornwall council which was nothing to do with cottage some local footpaths marked on OS map had become overgrown and couldn't be found .
