About the home

Hide and Seek Cottage has its entrance next to the leather shop. On the first floor there is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge-freezer, cooker and microwave, lounge with comfy settee and sprung sofabed (additional 1 or 2 persons at extra charge) TV and DVD player, bathroom with wc and overbath shower. On the second floor there are two double bedrooms and a large shower room with wc. From this floor there is access to the terraced garden and patio area which enjoys a distant seaview and views of the interesting and varied rooftops and chimneys of the ancient properties that nestle in the valley. This is an ideal base for walking the cliff paths of the area and exploring beautiful South East Cornwall

The garden is fenced but there are some high drops, which means young children in the garden must be supervised at all times.

The Polperro area

Polperro village is a magical place with its narrow medieval streets and beautiful harbour. You can sit on the cliffs, watch the fishing boats and enjoy the stunning views. Take a boat trip from the harbour (in season) or visit the Smugglers Museum.There are plenty of excellent restaurants and pubs catering for all tastes. The gift shops in Polperro are well worth exploring and a 10% discount will be given at Hide'n'Seek leather shop to anyone staying in Hide and Seek Cottage!!!

Aim to arrive in Polperro at the end of the A387. As you come down the hill you will see the main car park where we have a reserved parking space. At the roundabout take the left turn and drive down into the heart of Polperro,after passing the Ship Inn a little further on by the Post Office the road bends to the right, stop just round the corner and then reverse a little up the hill by Hide'N'Seek leather shop and you,ve arrived.After unloading parking is back at the main car park.

“A fantastic holiday home” Hide 'N Seek cottage is superbly maintained, comfortable, well equipped, spotlessly clean, and located centrally in the picturesque village of Polperro. The fishing harbour is only a couple of minutes away, as are a variety of pubs, restaurants and coffee shops. The memory foam mattresses were extremely comfortable and the bedrooms were spacious, with plenty of storage and hanging space. We also enjoyed the power shower in the top floor shower room/wc. The cottage is equipped with free wi-fi and an additional bonus is the reserved car-parking space in the main car park, which is included in the rental price. When you see the car-parking charges in the village, you realise how much of a bonus this is! Compared with other properties we have rented in Cornwall, Hide 'N Seek Cottage represents excellent value for money. The owners, Steve & Nancy, are very friendly and helpful, and are easily accessible, via the interesting leather goods shop, below the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.

“Fantastic cottage in great location - would recommend” We really like this cottage. I have stayed multiple times and have recommended it to friends and family! Lovely cottage set at the heart of Polperro, close to shops and just around the corner from the harbour. The flat is well equipped and presented to a high standard. The beds are very comfortable and the shower very powerful! The terrace at the back of the property has some great views. The car parking space for the property in the main Polperro car park is a real bonus. Steve and Nancy gave a very warm welcome and we hope to be back again soon!

“Excellent cottage in the heart of Polperro” A delightful, comfortable and well equipped cottage in the very heart of Polperro with two large double bedrooms and the added bonus of having two bathrooms is absolutely great! Nancy and Steve gave us a very warm welcome and the shop they run below the cottage is well worth a visit for a new bag! The roof patio is lovely if you are lucky to have the sun shining - great for eating alfresco. There is a really good choice of pubs and restaurants to choose from for evening meals and we would definitely recommend Hide and Seek to anyone who would like to visit Cornwall.

“Clean, comfortable and welcoming” Staying in the same cottage three years running says it all. First class service from the owners Steve and Nancy who provide such clean, comfortable and welcoming accommodation. A stress free experience from booking to departure. The cottage is bright, spacious and up to date sleeping four with ease set out on the first and second floors. Steep stairs with rails as expected in this type of building. Well equipped in a central location in Polperro village which has plenty of eating places and shops for provisions. Pleasant roof terrace for enjoying relaxation time when not visiting the many delights that this part of Cornwall has to offer.

“Spotless, comfortable property in a convenient location” This was our second visit to the property. There is nothing to fault at all here, it is so clean and comfortable - the most well equipt holiday let I have ever experienced. The owners are very helpful and even left bread and milk for our arrival. Fully recommend.

“WONDERFUL” We have stayed here before during christmas 2010, and had a lovely time. We said we would be back and we did in April 2011 and had a wonderful holiday. The property was extremely comfortable, spacious but also cosy, befitting the cottages of polperro, and was situated in the heart of this beautiful fishing village filled with history, and was an experience in itself. The people were friendly and the scenery breathtaking, with miles and miles of cliff top walks, which should only be attempted by experienced adult ramblers, not children. You can sit on the patio of the property and take in the views of the roof tops and beyond of polperro during the day,and at night time the view takes on a different perspective, a magical quality. Steve & Nancy , the proprieters, were extremely pleasant , approachable and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We fell in love with Polperro along time ago, but staying in the heart of this village in "Hide & Seek Cottage" only confirms our thoughts ,all those years ago. Trevor & Gina.

“A Perfect Little getaway by the sea!” We had a fantastic time at Hide and Seek Cottage. We had everything we needed for a long weekend. Polperro was beautiful and we got to enjoy the views over village from the perfect little sun terrace. I would and have already recommended to friends and family - great value for money too! Thank you!
