Home description
Lower Laurels is a newly renovated (finished Easter 2009) and unique ground floor apartment in an old 3 storey house. It is simply furnished with separate double bedroom, en suite with lovely big shower and modern equipment throughout. At the side of the house is a small private sun terrace. You'll be living by the sea in what many say is the most beautiful ancient fishing village in Cornwall. Just 6 steps up from The Warren which is part of the coastal path, it offers the rare combination of seclusion with fantastic access to all the amenities of Polperro and the dramatic coastline.
Boat trips, fishing and magnificent walks are right on your doorstep - almost literally! Browse the shops, stopping for a traditional pasty or cream tea at one of the lovely little outdoor cafes or just take a picnic and relax in the sun. There's a wonderful natural pool at low tide for swimming a few minutes away.
Great pubs and restaurants are just 4-5 minutes stroll away. There aren't any nightclubs but you may hear the occasional fishing boat catching an early morning tide!
The "Slip", just 15 seconds from the front door.
The beach ( a few minutes stroll)

The West Country / Cornwall region
From the dramatic coastline of the north to the sheltered bays in the south, from ancient moorland to soft river estuaries, surfers, walkers, sailing buffs, ''gastronauts'' and visitors simply seeking a break from a hectic world have discovered a fascinating, vibrant culture, food to die for and a naturally thrilling adventure playground.
Polperro area
Lying a few miles down the coast from Looe, the historic fishing village of Polperro is a time capsule of old Cornwall at its romantic best.
The collection of ancient fishermen’s cottages and narrow streets and lanes, that have somehow been shoe-horned into the steep, narrow valley running down to the sea, all add up to give Polperro its deserved accolade of one of the prettiest villages in Britain.
Anyone wanting to do more than just relax and watch the world go by will find that there’s a lot to do in and around Polperro. The village does have a beach and, although relatively small, at low tide this is always popular. Then, in addition to numerous local tourist attractions such as The Eden Project and the magnificent National Trust property at Lanhydrock, there are the beautiful walks to be enjoyed in and around the surrounding countryside and coastline, which has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Perfect exercise to justify a drink or two in one of the excellent pubs in the village and choose from a variety of restaurants to enjoy supper !
