A lovely large, sunny living and dining room with a wood burner is a perfect place to unwind, with French doors that open out onto a lawned terrace, ideal for that early morning cup of coffee or drinks in the evening. Upstairs there are three large bedrooms, all with great views. The West Country region

Cornwall is the most South Western part of the UK, benefitting from some of Britain's mildest climates, with the warming effects of the Gulf Stream, early springs and long lingering summers. This unspoilt County enjoys a dramatic landscape from rugged moorland to stunning beautiful golden beaches.

Cornwall has historically been intrinsically linked with outdoor activities. With some of the cleanest seas in Europe surrounding the County, it has always been popular for water-based activities especially surfing. North Cornwall, predominantly in and around Newquay has historically been home to many UK Surfing Championships.

Walkers are able to find extensive countryside to discover and can delight in the longest stretch of continuous coastline in Britain on the South West Coast Path.

This ancient and mystic Celtic County has a feeling of being a land of legend and romance. Hence artists come to Cornwall for inspiration drawn by its rugged beauty and the quality of light.

South Cornwall has a wealth to offer in terms of stunning countryside, places of interest and leisure activities. These include the fabulous Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Cotehele Estate and St Mellion, with its famous championship golf course, leisure centre and spa is just 7 miles from Plymouth.

Nestling in a deep sheltered valley protected by the ancient harbour is the spectacular, historic fishing village of Polperro, much favoured by artists, writers and photographers and the location for many films, due to its inspirational and truly remarkable setting.

The river Tamar has been the official border between Cornwall and Devon, the area around the Tamar Valley is recognised as a World Heritage Site, having cultural importance on a global level being rich in both beauty and heritage. With the stunning village of Cargreen perched on it's banks. The Valley possesses some of the most beautiful and unspoilt scenery in the Westcountry. Bovisand, a few miles south of Plymouth, is an ideal location for cultural, seaside and rural activities.

"We would highly recommend Glintings Holiday Cottage in polperro"

We stayed here for a week in July 2012. What a lovey place for vacation, excellent location, close to shops and just around the corner from the harbour. The cottage is well equipped and presented to a high standard. Breathe taking scenery.
We would definitely return, maybe in the autumn next time. We would highly recommend
Glinitings. Just what we were looking for, very cosy with everything we needed
