The West Country region

Talland Bay lies between Looe and Polperro and is one of the most memorable and secluded coves along the coastline of South Cornwall. It has three small beaches flanked by a rocky foreshore and a beautiful undeveloped coastline.

The quiet hamlet of Talland consists of a scattering of houses and cottages and an ancient church, away from the busy tourist areas further to the north and west. The idyllic bay is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, forms part of the Heritage Coast Cornwall, and was once renowned for smuggling.

Polperro

The area is home to stunning golf courses including Looe, Lostwithiel, the internationally renowned St. Mellion and the dramatic cliff-top courses of Carlyon Bay and Whitsand Bay.

Within a short drive lies Fowey with its picturesque harbour and sailing centre and further inland is the Eden project, whose futuristic “biomes” contain plants from around the world and which is the most visited tourist destination in Cornwall.

For those in search of a faster pace, a 40 minutes drive brings you to Newquay, home to the Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay Zoo and the vibrant surf scene at Fistral Beach.

"Just perfect"

We stayed here with friends next door in the adjoining house and with 4 babies/toddlers between us. The house was gorgeous and perfectly kitted out for a family (cots, high chairs and stair gates all provided). With an online groceries delivery, and a view to die for, we were all set for the most perfect week. Sitting in the hot tub under the stars while the kids were in bed was amazing. On site facilities (swimming pool) were also top notch. A great location, great managers, and a super property. We loved it.

Hi there,

Thank you for your wonderful feedback, it's always great to receive such positive comments.

The sea views from the hot tubs at numbers 42 and 43 really are brilliant, and we're really glad you enjoyed our pool as well.
42 and 43 are great for bigger groups or two separate families who like to have their own space but be close, and the interconnecting doors can make it feel like one giant house.

once again thank you for taking the time to comment and we hope to welcome you all back soon,

Kind Regards,

The Bay Talland team
