Villa Cal Reconet is located in a quiet lane in a private location just a short drive away from both Pollensa and the Port. The villa has a gated entrance and ample parking area with a table-tennis table. The attractive porch entrance leads directly into a spacious ground floor lounge dining room with homely lightwood floors and comfortable simple, easy on the eye furnishings. The home of a famous, local fisherman, the villa has a nautical theme with decorative model fishing boats and bright contemporary art on the white walls. High ceilings with authentic sloped rafters, modern lighting and lots of natural light combine to make this living area a very pleasant space.
A large natural wood dining table and chairs can seat a large group for meals. There is also a curved sofa positioned around a coffee table, satellite television and dvd player. The wood-burning stove in the lounge is for decoration only, although the villa does have central heating throughout and hot/cold air-conditioning units for the bedrooms.

For those who love to cook, the kitchen is fully equipped with an extra large hob and oven and there is an enormous restaurant-sized fridge for clients' use. A separate utility area accessed from the kitchen houses the washing machine and ironing facilities and can be used for extra storage.
A pretty covered terrace at the back of the villa accessed from the kitchen and the lounge is furnished with a table and chairs and exterior seating. An ideal nook to enjoy morning coffee or for some down-time to sit quietly with a book.
On the ground level is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both of these bedrooms share a separate full bathroom and both have double doors out to the back terrace. There is a further double bedroom on this ground level with an ensuite full bathroom. All bedrooms have large wardrobe spaces and air-conditioning.
Wide stairs from the lounge lead to a very large upstairs bedroom in a mezzanine area. that has a double bed and a single bed. There is an en-suite shower with hydromassage jets and a door to a sizeable rooftop terrace with outstanding views of the countryside and distant mountains, overlooking the pool and gardens below.
The pool is an unusual assymetrical shape with Roman steps at one end and a shallow splash area for children completely separated from the rest of the pool. The shallow end of the main pool is Min 0,90m and the Max depth is 1,69m with a pool slide here but the depths vary in different areas of the pool. There is a large sunbathing patio with a large brick-built barbeque.
The garden is private with high hedges along the side of the quiet, no-through lane. A furnished covered veranda with table and bench seating offers shade for outside dining overlooking expansive lawn with pretty shrubs and a majestic willow tree. The garden is a childrens' play paradise, boasting a sand pit, childrens swing, a climbing frame, a slide, as well as a pretty wooden playhouse for hours of fun and games. The countryside around Pollenca Old Town and Puerto Pollensa is amongst the most stunning and picturesque in the Mediterranean. Lush green dramatic valleys, litterered with grazing mountain goats and sheep and beautiful rural famrland hillsides dotted aournd picturesque monasterys and farms are the typical view from your garden here. The great advantage here is that you are only within 5-10 minutes drive of supermarkets, restaurants and bars of the old Town and Puerto ollensa shoudl you wish to drag yourself away. Choose one of our private villas or farmhouses here to appreciate this stunning lcoation and be the envy of your friends.
Pollença Old Town is a peaceful and tranquil town that remains very typically Spanish. It is four miles from the coast, nestling between two hills at the eastern end of the Tramuntana mountains. Pollença itself is indisputably pretty. Historic buildings with ochre roofs, sun-baked walls and wooden shutters line the narrow and twisting medieval streets. There are pastel-painted houses in the centre and Moorish water mills on the outskirts. It's also a haven of sleepy Mallorcan traditions - café life and the siesta roll on here as they always have. The heart of the old town is the central square, Plaça Major, where there are many café-bars and fine restaurants. Pollença also has lots of galleries of Mallorcan art and design, and a town museum. The most famous walk in Pollença is up the 365 steps of the tree-lined 'Calvario' - the Calvari Hill. There is a tiny church at the top with amazing views over the town and across wooded valleys to the sea
Puerto Pollensa is host to long sandy beaches that curve around the bay and are divided by breakwaters and so are ideal for children. There are also a number of small, natural, sand and pebble beaches to explore. The atmosphere in Puerto Pollensa is relaxed with no loud discos or nightclubs, but a fine variety of open-air cafés, restaurants, boutiques and shops.
Taste: Pollença old town boasts some of the best restaurants on the island. From traditional Mallorcan to international cuisine, each has its own blend of atmosphere and tradition. 0
Weekly Market: It's especially lively in Pollença on market day, every Sunday morning, with stalls selling fruit, flowers, local crafts, clothes and household goods.
Discover: Pollença is nestled between two hills. One of these hills is Puig de Maria with an 18th-century monastery perched on the summit - a walk to the top is well worth the effort for spectacular views over Pollença and down to the sea.
Supermarkets: Large SYP/ Eroski Centre situated just off the main Pollença to Puerto Pollença, plus two in the town centre.
Villaparade first discovered the unspoilt Pollença region twenty years ago and fell in love with the wonderful countryside all around - from the dramatic mountains to the lush valleys. Since then we're very proud to have built up a collection of some of the finest holiday villas and apartments in and around the area. Our principle resorts are the historic medieval town of Pollença and the sheltered sandy bay of Puerto Pollença which are detailed on the following pages.Other areas of the Pollenca region in which our villas are located are:
Cala San Vicente, another of the best-kept secrets in the North of Mallorca. It's a quiet and relaxed resort surrounded by mountains with pine-covered slopes that run down to the sea. The sparkling blue waters and the three sandy coves are very child-friendly. The spectacular countryside here is also ideal walking country, popular with ramblers and painters.
Bonaire is an exclusive residential area on the peninsula around the bay of Pollença towards Alcudia with a pretty marina called Puerto Cocodrilo and a lovely sandy beach called Mal Pas. Son Serra de Marina with its appealing marina and sandy beach is 8km from the larger resort of Ca'n Picafort which shares the same sweeping bay as Alcudia. Ca'n Picafort's lively but friendly and relaxed atmosphere is ideal for families and couples.

"Charming family villa with plenty of space and tranquility"
We have just enjoyed a very peacefull 2 weeks in Cal Reconet. This was our third year we have holidayed in the area and this villa was the most spacious and luxurious villa we have stayed in. A car is essential however as it is down a maze of narrow roads. The garden is huge and perfect for kids. A very enjoyable experience.

""Perfecto" as you would say in spanish."
This was our first holiday together as a family 5 adults and 3 children. The villa was perfect for us. The children loved the pool and play area while the grown ups enjoyed the garden and patio area for sunbathing. The layout inside was just right for us, with seperate bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was great with everything needed for self-catering. We had a barbecue most evenings. There are two outdoor eating areas one we used for breakfast and the other by the pool. A car is necessary for shopping and going to Alcudia or Pollensa for the beach. This is a place for peace, quiet and tranquility which made it a really special holiday. We would certainly visit again in the future.
