The Balearic Islands region

Mallorca is an island of many aspects. There is the built up and busy South, with the famous local resorts and features. This side of the island is very different to the Mountainous North. Here the country is unspoilt, beautiful and varied. Always in view of the majestic Tremuntana mountains, the glorious sandy beaches are never far away. Idyllic hill top villages and medieval towns are a feature and the atmosphere is of sophisticated elegance and laid back rustic living. All the facilities of a modern Mediterranean resort however are never far away. Enjoy the many facets of Mallorca - an island for everyone.

Pollensa

Mountains, Sea, sand, hill-top villages and Roman towns. There is so much to see in this area and so much to do. For those that love beaches, there is the golden sweep of the Badia de Pollenca, travel up the bay to the Moorish fortified city of Alcudia and wander the warren of walled city streets. Alternatively discover the old Roman town and walk the streets of the old city of Pollenca and the much loved town square with it's myriad of restaurants and open air dining all within view of the magical hill top Monastery.

Puerto Pollenca however has marinas, romantic bay side restaurants, atmospheric back streets, and all the facilities of a modern European resort. But venture inland and discover a tranquil and undiscovered side of Mallorca always within view of the striking Mallorcan Tremuntana mountains that capture and manipulate the ever changing Mediterranean light from Dawn to a glowing red sunset. A magical part of the island.

"Can Mas is ideal for relaxation and a good spot for starting daily adventures of any kind."

I have booked an accommodation through this website for the first time and am glad to have picked Can Mas. I was greeted by Mark very warmly and felt to be a welcomed guest. He was a great host. My English is not the best but we were somehow able to communicate. Thanks Mark for trying and putting so much effort into this! The house, garden and surrounding area are beautiful. I had a nice room and got a good sleep every single night. During my stay, Mark was setting up new bathrooms. Mine was already finished and it turned out beautiful. I was allowed to use the kitchen and did not feel to be an intruder, it was like visiting very good friends. I really enjoyed the daily breakfast in the garden with a great view over the mountains – in quietness. Can Mas is ideal for relaxation and a good spot for starting daily adventures of any kind. Two beautiful villages (Pollenca and Alcuida) as well as a nice bay for swimming in Puerta Pollenca are nearby. Other small beaches are in Cala St. Vicente. In Puerto Alcuida, you'll find a miles long beach, just 15 minutes by car. It's an ideal place to spend your vacation with kids, the house, pool, garden and surrounding area is beautiful. You can do tours on bike, shorter hikes (or longer) or just enjoy your time at the beach. Nearby is Formentor, the historic Calvaio staircase in Pollenca and Puig de Maria, which should be on anyone's top visiting list. I have spent some easygoing days in Can Mas and it was very nice. I can recommend this accommodation to anyone. Mark, I thank you for everything, you hospitality, the conversations we had and the carefree and uncomplicated life in your house.

"A characterful, magical place!"

It was night when we arrived so we didn't get much idea of our surroundings. However we quickly settled in as the house was so welcoming. It's everything you hope for from a holiday rental - characterful, white-washed walls, wooden beams, a lovely big kitchen, no less than 2 log fires, and a huge main room with a generous-sized table for as many friends and family as you could wish. The biggest thrill however was when we woke in the morning and wandered outside with our morning coffee through the large garden – the breath-taking view!! We could have sat by the pool all day long and not have tired of looking at that great sweep of mountains before us, watching as the light changes during the course of the day. We will definitely be going back.

"An oasis of tranquility with amazing views"

We spent three days at Can Mas and were immediately captivated by the magic of the setting. What a joy. A rustic house, perhaps a little on the sparse side, but beautifully appointed and within easy reach of all the major attractions of Puerto Pollenca and the beaches. Great fun. We can imagine it in Summer.
