Finca Ros y Trota is a beautiful Mallorcan country house with luxury throughout. It's an old olive farm, restored and redesigned as a family retreat, with a sauna and an outdoor heated swim-spa pool (in addition to the large swimming pool) and tennis court. It has seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms and all the rooms are bright and airy with elegant antique furniture.

The villa is in a private location - set down a long track off from the main Palma road and surrounded by fields, farmland and wooded hills. Beaches, a golf course, and the town of Pollenca are just a few minutes' drive from here. For larger groups of up to 22 people on holiday together, the villas' nearest neighbour Finca Trota (ID 349) is down the lane just several hundred yards away.

The villa is full of reminders of its former life as a farm, with wooden farming implements hanging in many of the rooms and the huge stone olive press which now stands in the courtyard in front of the house alongside the attractive water fountain.

Finca Ros y Trota is incredibly spacious with high ceilings and white walls and distinctive architectural features like stone arches and shuttered windows.

On the ground floor of the villa there is a very large dining and living room with satellite television, a DVD player and CD stereo, and a circular antique dining table. There's a reading area leading into the hall, and a fantastic Mallorcan family dining-kitchen with excellent facilities. There are also two bedrooms - a double room and a twin room - which both have en-suite bathrooms. There's also another bathroom on this floor, with a sauna.

On the first floor there's another seating area and five bedrooms - one double room with an en-suite bathroom, two twin rooms both with en-suite bathrooms, and one double room and one twin room which share a bathroom. All the bedrooms are airy and bright with views of the countryside around the villa.

In the grounds of Finca Ros y Trota there are lovely lawned gardens and a great pool. There's a courtyard with shady areas and a table tennis table at the back of the house, and a dining area which catches the late afternoon and evening sun. A shallow flight of stone steps flagged by pillars runs down to the lawn and the pool. The new addition to this property is the fantastic swim spa which is situated in the courtyard.

The Swim Spa is a unique combination of the attractive features of a spa and the advantages of the classic pool. The Swim Spa enables relaxation, hydrotherapy, conditional swimming and water aerobics at the same time, with a average heated water temperature of 34'C.

Thanks to its strong, adjustable counter-current, the Swim Spa becomes a never-ending pool where swimmers of all levels and age will enjoy swimming. You can systematically work on your fitness condition or just enjoy the free movement in the water and is a great addition of the fantastic pool that this villa has.

The tennis court adjoins the villa and is a great extra for the energetic. There is a nominal charge of 50 euros paid locally upon arrival which covers full use of the tennis court and also rackets and balls.

Finca Ros Y Trota is a graceful country estate, perfect for groups of up to fourteen people. Every detail here shows the careful design and beautiful craftsmanship of this building's restoration.

Cot and high chair available at £20 per week, per item - for the full range of extras please see booking form.

Pollensa

The countryside around Pollenca Old Town and Puerto Pollensa is amongst the most stunning and picturesque in the Mediterranean. Lush green dramatic valleys, litterered with grazing mountain goats and sheep and beautiful rural famrland hillsides dotted aournd picturesque monasterys and farms are the typical view from your garden here. The great advantage here is that you are only within 5-10 minutes drive of supermarkets, restaurants and bars of the old Town and Puerto ollensa shoudl you wish to drag yourself away. Choose one of our private villas or farmhouses here to appreciate this stunning lcoation and be the envy of your friends.

Pollença Old Town is a peaceful and tranquil town that remains very typically Spanish. It is four miles from the coast, nestling between two hills at the eastern end of the Tramuntana mountains. Pollença itself is indisputably pretty. Historic buildings with ochre roofs, sun-baked walls and wooden shutters line the narrow and twisting medieval streets. There are pastel-painted houses in the centre and Moorish water mills on the outskirts. It's also a haven of sleepy Mallorcan traditions - café life and the siesta roll on here as they always have. The heart of the old town is the central square, Plaça Major, where there are many café-bars and fine restaurants. Pollença also has lots of galleries of Mallorcan art and design, and a town museum. The most famous walk in Pollença is up the 365 steps of the tree-lined 'Calvario' - the Calvari Hill. There is a tiny church at the top with amazing views over the town and across wooded valleys to the sea

Puerto Pollensa is host to long sandy beaches that curve around the bay and are divided by breakwaters and so are ideal for children. There are also a number of small, natural, sand and pebble beaches to explore. The atmosphere in Puerto Pollensa is relaxed with no loud discos or nightclubs, but a fine variety of open-air cafés, restaurants, boutiques and shops.
