About the home

Close to Cal Beato, Rostoya is set on a country lane, just on the outskirts of the charming old town of Pollensa, famed for its art galleries, first class restaurants and historic traditions.

This two-storey property is tremendously light and spacious and is set in extensive gardens.

Just off the entrance hall, there is the kitchen with its stone-washed wooden units and modern fixtures and fittings. Off the kitchen is a door leading to a small uncovered terrace which is ideal for a quiet coffee or having breakfast. Adjoining the kitchen is a separate utility room

Two steps lead to a hallway and two twin bedrooms, tastefully furnished in pine and with spot lighting. Both of these rooms share a shower room.

Further along the hallway, there is a twin bedroom with en suite bathroom.

The main staircase leads up to a large double bedroom, complete with writing desk and a full bathroom.

The exquisite swimming pool is accessed from both the lounge and the dining room. There are expansive lawns on all sides of the swimming pool. It is a lovely spot for relaxing and for enjoying the stunning scenery.

The Mallorca/Majorca region

It is hard to believe that such a small island offers visitors such diversity ? from dramatic mountains, flower-filled hillsides and charming villages, to picturesque bays, small resorts and fabulous sandy beaches.

The main mountain range on the island is the Serra de Tramuntana, which stretches the entire length of the north coast.

Mallorca is blessed by a hot Mediterranean sun that is complemented by cool, refreshing sea breezes and the winters are quite mild too. Away from the main resorts, inland towns are fairly undeveloped and offer a relaxed way of life. Much of Mallorca remains untouched by tourism.

The Pollensa area

Our self catered villa rental in Mallorca lets you enjoy the delicious local food. Mallorcan cuisine is generally Mediterranean but also with many characteristic dishes such as Mallorcan Soups, made with fine slices of bread in a hot broth and accompanied by vegetables and sometimes a bit of meat. Tramp? is a salad par excellence; it accompanies most meals in summer and consists of pieces of tomato, red pepper and onion, with a dressing of olive oil, vinegar and salt. Tumbet is another typical accompaniment in summer; it is made from finely-sliced potatoes, aubergine and peppers, which are fried and covered with a tomato sauce. Pa amb Oli is sliced bread with local ramallet tomato squeezed over it along with a dash of olive oil and a pinch of salt. This is usually accompanied by cheese, grilled meat or cold sausage meat.

There is plenty to explore and enjoy and your hire car gives easy access to all of Mallorca's attractions. The excellent road network includes stretches of motorway and also winding, mountain roads, with simply breathtaking views.
