La Rafal is a distinctive stone villa located in the beautiful Colonya Valley just outside Pollenca Old Town. There are wonderful views across fields and citrus groves to the mountains of the valley and up to the Puig Maria Mountain with the famous 18th-century monastery at its summit.

The house itself has stone walls outside and white painted walls and a beautiful courtyard with lemon and orange trees and terracotta tiled floors inside. It's beautifully furnished with new furniture and linen in neutral colours.

The impressive entrance opens up into a open square courtyard reminiscent of a by-gone palatial era. Here there are covered terraces surrounding the courtyard full of sofas and seating. There are colourful plants and fruit trees in the courtyard. This is a great chill-out area and an ideal place for pre-dinner sun-downers with its terrace furniture and rattan sofas.

A main entrance door opens up into the ground floor of the property - there is a reception hallway which has double doors leading out into the garden area at the rear of the property. Also off this hallway to the left is the large lounge area with the latest entertainment systems. This leads into the dining room which has double doors leading out into the garden and also to the courtyard. The kitchen area is well planned out with a fantastic bulthaup kitchen. On this level there is a separate laundry room and shower bathroom which leads to the villa's games room which has table football and a Nintendo Wii with a TV.

To the right of the reception entrance is where 3 of the villas bedrooms are situated. There are 2 twin bedrooms which share a full bathroom and 1 double which has fitted wardrobes and an en-suite shower bathroom. A staircase leads from the courtyard to the first floor where an amazing double bedroom is located with fantastic views looking out to the Colonya Valley. This room has a beautiful en-suite full bathroom with a large walk in shower and a jacuzzi bath.

La Rafal really is a house which will enchant you! It is perfect for a relaxing holiday with the convenience of being only a short drive or cycle ride from Pollenca Old Town, the gardens especially are a beautiful place to relax and indulge yourselves with a barbecue to the sounds of the countryside.

The Balearic Islands region

Mallorca (also known as Majorca) is a Spanish island in the Mediterranean, and is the largest and the most popular of the Baleares (Balearic) Islands with Palma de Mallorca as its capital city. The island is well-known for its purpose built resorts and package holidays. Majorca, with a hard 'j', is a place invented by foreigners, where the sun always shines, the beer flows and the nearest you get to local culture is an argument with a taxi-driver. Mallorca, the local name for the island, is quite different and far more complex. This guide is about Mallorca.

Stunning scenery for hiking, cycling and golf; luxury hotels and hip hideaways; superb marinas, boats, and sailing; top restaurants, tapas bars and food; great nightlife and bars; amazing villas, fincas and real estate; and this is what we focus on here on SeeMallorca.

Pollensa

Pollenca or Pollensa is a locality in the Island of Majorca, with a population of about 20,000 and has one of the richest histories in the Mediterranean Sea. Fenicians, romans and arabs, etc, passed through their ports.

Today Puerto Pollenca or Pollensa as some simply call it is a beautiful city in the north of the Island of Mallorca in the Balearic Islands, Spain. It is one of the most important holiday destinations. It has many things to offer it's guests...sea, mountains, culture, leisure, fun, and plenty of space to take relaxing walks. Above all it is a place to enjoy your holidays to the maximum.

Pollenca has a wide variety of restaurants to choose from when we speak of it's gastronomy. You'll find traditional Mallorquin dishes, as well as many international restaurants that have began to grow due to the tourist popular demand. You will also not have any problems finding an accommodation. There are plenty of apartments to choose from, hotels, luxury villas, chalets, rural homes and hostels. You can choose to be close to the sea, in the city or in the mountains, it all depends on you and what you want. It is definately a paradise for nature lovers as there are beautiful views to contemplate, and trails and beaches to go trekking in or bike riding.

Pollenca also has many isolated nudist beaches as well as urban more frequented beaches, restaurants in which to enjoy delicious meals as well as taste the traditional mallorquin products like "butifarra" and "sobrasada".
