Set within a small complex in a quiet location on the outskirts of Polis, our light and airy first floor apartment (Crusty Hills as we call our bolt-hole in the sun) is situated a stones throw from the beach of Chyrsochou Bay, but it is only 10/15 minutes walking distance to the town centre with all its amenties including restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, banks,etc. With balconies to the front and rear, you have the choice of spectacular views either of the Akamas peninsula and the blue waters of the Mediterranean (sunsets are a dream!) or the rugged hills of the Pafos forest. Polis is an ideal base for hiking or biking in the Akamas nature reserve or the Troodos mountains, snorkelling or scuba diving in the clear Mediterranean waters, as well as a haven for those seeking rest and tranquility in a pleasant and friendly environment. A short drive takes you to the small port of Latchi, renowned for its harbour-side fish restaurants, sea-sport facilities and boating excursions - a must for all Polis visitors

The Paphos District

Polis area
Polis, which in Greek means town, is on the wide Chrysochous Bay that runs along the northwest sweep of Cyprus from the tip of the Akamas Peninsula to Pomos Point, at the start of Cyprus' Tylliria wilderness. Polis offers the ideal holiday for those who appreciate authenticity and seek rest and tranquility in a pleasant and friendly environment, which blends mountains and plain with a wonderful healthy climate, particularly warm clear seas and secluded beaches. It's a laid-back sort of place with lots of old-fashioned nooks and crannies, in addition to a picturesque central pedestrian area mostly given over to tavernas, restaurants (with some of the best and most affordable dining to be had in the whole of Cyprus) and shops. The leisurely pace of life here is a welcome sign of just how different things are in this part of Cyprus. Nonetheless, Polis is considered to be an excellent location for those who enjoy active holidays, whether on land or sea. There are plenty of opportunites for hiking, cycling, water-skiing, wind-surfing, scuba diving, horse riding and golf - to name but a few! (Tsada golf course is just 25 minutes away from Polis).
How to get there
Fly from all major airports - Larnaca Airport (160 kms) 2.5 hours; Paphos Airport (50kms) 1 hour. Car hire is available at both airports from several of the main rental companies. We can arrange for you to be picked up at the airport (prices available on request) but you will require a car for your holiday. Car hire is also available from Polis. Detailed directions from Larnaca and Paphos airports will be forwarded on booking.

Further details indoors: It has an open plan living/kitchen area, with the lounge area comprising two leather sofas, coffee table and occasional table, TV (satellite), DVD and CD player. Two framed prints and two iron artefacts reflect the character of the owners - we hope you like them as much as we do. The kitchen is fully equipped, including full size oven, hob and hood, fridge freezer and washing machine. There are two good sized bedrooms, a double and a twin, both with fitted wardrobes. The family bathroom is fully fitted and is situated between the bedrooms. Air conditioning throughout is available at the daily rate of Euros 2.50 per unit - payable locally to our agent. A selection of books and DVD's are available for guests' use. There is an information folder that details places of interest in and around the Polis area, as well as names of some restaurants and tavernas to wine and dine.

The apartment is subject to a non smoking and no pets policy.
Conditions
A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking, and the balance of the booking must be paid no later than 8 weeks prior to arrival. If the arrival date is within 8 weeks of booking, then the full amount is payable at that time and is non-refundable.
A security deposit of £100 Sterling will be required against breakages and safe return of keys - please contact us for further details.
