Welcome to your perfect holiday escape, ‘Villa Prosefhi' in Lysos, near Polis, just a stone’s throw away from the small but charming Paradisos Hills Hotel and Taverna where villa guests are always welcome for breakfast, lunch and dinner & Lysos Village itself.

The villa is a brand new private home situated on a corner plot in an elevated position overlooking the stunning surrounding valley around Peristerona and all the way to the Mediterranean Sea at Polis and Latchi.

Tranquil but just a short drive takes you to Polis and a host of watersports and the beach at Latchi

Lysos is a very tranquil location situated just outside the traditional yet vibrant town of Polis just 20km north of Paphos. Latchi, famous for watersports and its beach is also just a quick drive away. The Lysos area is well known for its scenic views, adventurous mountain biking and walking trails, and exotic wildlife, whilst at the same time being the ideal place for a peaceful sunshine holiday.

Villa Prosefhi in Lysos is an impressive stone built four bedroom, four bathroom detached Cyprus Holiday Villa with a private infinity edged pool that has been designed, furnished and landscaped to the highest standards and creates a unique opportunity to have real taste of traditional Cypriot village life as well as all the modern comforts of home.

Enjoy relaxing on a sun lounger by the private pool, alfresco dining on the terrace and your favourite aperitif on one of the balconies as the sun sets over the mountainside and clear blue waters of the Mediterranean at Polis and Latchi.

On entering the Villa Prosefhi in Lysos, you immediately sense the thought and care that has gone in to make the villa a true home from home. Access at ground floor level leads into the dining/breakfasting area which is equipped with a smart and modern dark wood topped table and 8 leather chairs in a contemporary style. The fully equipped kitchen includes all modern appliances with dishwasher, and coffee maker as convenient extras. The adjacent lounge features beautiful large real leather sofas and 42” Plasma TV with Satellite & DVD player.

Making up the ground floor is a large double bedroom with an en-suite shower room with large cubicle. Access from here can be gained to the beautifully kept patio and terraced areas and the infinity edged private pool.

Upstairs is the master bedroom with balcony affording wonderful views and en-suite with Jacuzzi bath. The third and fourth bedrooms are twins and also have access small balconies, as well as a en-suite shower rooms with double sized cubicles.

The villa is fully air-conditioned (included free of charge in bedrooms). The water is heated by solar panels on the roof. A travel cot and highchair are supplied on request. Other extras such as hairdryer and pool towels are also provided.

Access to Villa Prosefhi in Lysos is through an impressive set of electric gates that lead into the private driveway.

The centrepiece of the exterior is a very inviting 8m x 4m private pool with infinity edge and ample room for sun loungers (six supplied). Also on the pool terrace, there is a magnificent gazebo with picnic bench/dining table. Both give uninterrupted views of the surrounding valley and mountains, the Mediterranean Sea, Polis and Latchi.

A large Stone Built BBQ and smartly designed pool shower make up the external areas. The views from this area are quite spectacular, making it the ideal place for relaxing in the sun or shade, alfresco dining and socialising with your party.

**Please note that this property can be accessed at any time after 3pm on arrival day so don't worry if you have a late flight. You will be met on arrival at the villa. We can arrange taxi transfer by our own driver who knows where the property is and assist with car hire from the airport if desired. The property is professionally managed (you will always have a contact) and has linen changes and cleaning on a weekly basis. Air-Conditioning in the bedrooms (lounge payable extra if required) is included in the rental price as is a welcome pack of basic essentials and wine for your arrival.**

The Paphos region

Travel a little way (passing the pretty village of Peristerona) and you reach the larger village of Polis. There is plenty of activity to choose from, whether you wish to dine in one of the many good quality restaurants, have a coffee or lunch in the central square, hire mountain bikes, quad bikes or maybe even a boat!

The nearby Latchi beach is renowned as one of the best on this side of the island and not as crowded as the beaches in and around Paphos itself (which can be reached by car in 30 minutes or under). Latchi beach is famous for its clear blue sea, soft white sand and a great selection of watersports which are readily available. Take one of the boat rides to the ‘Blue Lagoon’, have a swim and/or snorkel, then come back to the pretty harbour/fishing port and have the famous ‘Fish Meze’ where you will be served approx 20 dishes including some of the freshest catches of the day whilst watching the world go by.

For the more adventurous, you can enter the ‘Akamas’ Nature reserve and go all the way round to ‘Lara Beach’ famous for its turtles and wonderful beach. If it is unspoilt Cyprus you are looking for, this is a great area to visit. You may even venture into the nearby villages of Miliou, Droushia and Panagia or further on to Kathikas (with its vineyards and wineries),. Other fantastic scenery can be taken in at Cedar Valley and the Troodos mountain range where in Winter, you can even ski!

Paphos airport is 40 minutes away by very good quality roads with English road signs. Visit Lysos and you won’t be disappointed.

The Polis / Lysos area

After leaving the main road from Paphos, Mountain Retreat Villa in Lysos is accessed by a beautiful winding country road with lovely views all the way. Only 400m away is the centre of Lysos Village with its Taverna for great food and hospitality and a shop or two for conveniences.

Lysos is a traditional mountain village in Cyprus located only 14 km from the seaside town Polis Chrysochous, 15km from Latchi with its beaches and water sports and a 45 km drive from Paphos.

This picturesque mountain village is famous for its efforts to maintain the beauty and the traditions of Cyprus. At just under 500 metres above sea level the summers are a few degrees cooler than the fierce summer temperatures in the coastal towns.

In various locations around Lysos there are many remarkable landmark churches such as the church of Ayios Georgios built in the 13th century where frescoes of Saint Mama can be found and is still protected by the antiquities department. Churches such as Panayia Chryselousa constructed at the end of the 15th century with Byzantine and Gothic elements, Profitis Elias, Ayios Constantinos, Ayios Charalambos and the country church of Archangel Michael provide for a unique perspective of the village history.

Lysos is home to a very good traditional Cypriot taverna, with neighbouring shops and the more widely known Paradisos Hills Hotel (small but charming and only 50m away from Profitis Elias Villa). Paradisos Hills Hotel is a small intimate hotel with only 15 rooms and a restaurant (open for breakfast, lunch and dinner) which serves only the finest Traditional Cypriot and International Cuisine. Most of the food is locally sourced and much of it is organic and the Sunday buffet lunches are now known Island wide. Paradisos Hills Hotel also have international evenings where guests and regular customers can experience something different and test the full range of its gastronomic skills.

“The best place to stay for a relax vacation!” This is a peaceful place where a family with children can easily stay and have a relax vacation. The service was excellent and whenever we needed something there was a person that could help as. I would definitely go again to this place!!

''The Vila was in very good shape, clean, well and smartly equipped. Pleasant to live in. Built in a way that lets one enjoy both the view of the mountain and the sea. The Villa is located in the friendly village of Lysos is 12 KM from Polis. 20 minutes drive from the beach. The location puts you right into a quite countryside vacation, with the benefit of being able to commute to the nearest town or the beach without thinking twice. It is suitable for those who are looking for a calm stay in Cyprus. Drove to Afrodith Bath, a 30 minutes drive. Few nature reserves (such as Stavros tis psokas) are in short driving distance. Those who are looking for sightseeing will find them attractive (been there last year). The service provided by Steven at LetsRentOnline, is the kind of service I would hope to get from any service provider and especially these who are dealing with leisure, responsive, accurate, helpful!."

"The owners are very kind and helpful for all matters. When we arrived they sorted out all problems in short time. The villa is located in the hills above Polis and it offers increadible views over the mountains and to the sea. The location is very quiet, so you can relax all the time. As there is no bigger store in Lysos, you have to drive 15 minutes to Polis, but its no problem. We enjoyed the stay very much, we found the quiet place we hoped for."

"We have just returned from our holiday and we have had a great week.on arrival we were greetedby the couple who look after this villa,very helpful and u can ring them anytime they live nearby! We could of had a nice relaxing holiday but chose an active one as nearby is horseriding,quad bike hire,donkey safari and other things. a very peaceful and lovely area worth the money! the villa is very modern and spacious beautiful views very relaxing we would definietly stay there again. thankyou very much to everyone involved on making this a holiday to remember forever!"
