About the home
An impressive and imposing stone built villa with large swimming pool, set amidst fruit orchards and olive trees in the quiet, unspoilt village of Argaka.
The villa offers a high standard of accommodation, and is equipped throughout with high quality furnishings and fixtures and fittings. The spacious lounge offers satellite TV (limited channels), and a working fireplace. Large sets of French doors open out onto the front terrace overlooking the swimming pool. The kitchen features a solid oak dining table and 6 chairs, integrated dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, electric oven and hob and large American-style fridge freezer. The first double bedroom is situated on the ground floor, together with an en-suite bathroom. A guest cloakroom is adjacent.
The staircase leads to the first floor and a large, airy landing with utility area with sink. French doors open out onto the vast upper terrace, which looks over the pool and the orange groves beyond and down to the sea. Two further double bedrooms are located on the first floor, both with small private balconies. One bedroom has en-suite shower room with body-jet massage system shower, whilst the other bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi whirlpool bath.
All three bedrooms have air-conditioning (for cooling or heating), which is included in the price. Additional units are available in the kitchen and in the lounge for a small supplement* payable locally. A safety deposit box is available and a hairdryer and pool towels are supplied. A baby cot and highchair can be provided on request.
Outside, extensive patios and sunbathing areas border the unusually large 14 metre swimming pool which has a small waterfall feature at the shallow end. The Paphos region

Polis is the principal town for the region, huddled around a pedestrianised square where visitors and locals gather in the mornings to enjoy a coffee and watch the world pass by and in the evenings to dine at one of the wide selection of restaurants, tavernas and cafes which radiate out from the centre. The town has an archaeological museum and cultural centre. Polis which is approximately 10 minutes drive away offers the nearest organized beach to the villas backed by tall Eucalyptus trees.
A little further along the coast from Polis is the seaside resort of Latchi with its recently opened 200 berth marina. Here you will find an array of inviting sea-front tavernas with a superb selection of fresh fish and seafood served daily. Just beyond Latchi you will find the well known 'Baths of Aphrodite' and for nature lovers the protected Akamas Peninsular an area particular suited to walkers and adventurers who can explore the many criss-crossed nature trails. The coastline of this area can also be enjoyed by boat with daily excursions available from the marina.
Polis and the surrounding villages count bowling, go-karting, fishing, cycling, watersports and scuba diving amongst the many activities on offer to the visitor. The Minthis Hills Golf Course is approximately a 40 minute drive away. The town of Paphos with its World Heritage Sites, modern shopping facilities, waterpark and attractive harbour area is within a 50 minute drive.
The Polis / Argaka area
Argaka is located on the coastal plains of the Chrysochous area away from the more mainstream destinations. Nourished by its own reservoir this agricultural area is well known for its abundance of citrus orchards The settlement of Argaka itself is divided into two parts, Pano Argaka (upper) located between the sea and the pine forest is the older of the two communities. Here, traditional style architecture can be found amongst the narrow, winding roads and the traditional spirit of Cyprus is still very much in evidence at the local kafenion which provides a focal point for the village's residents to gather, exchange news and pass the time of day. Kato Argaka (lower) is the newer settlement standing next to the sea. Although this area features more contemporary style residences, a small supermarket, a kiosk and a handful of tavernas dotted along the coastal road, the atmosphere is still very laidback. A small shop offering basic provisions is within 800 metres of the villa and a small café/coffee house offering snacks and a couple of restaurants are within 1.5 kilometres of the villa.
The undeveloped beaches of the Argaka area stretch along a natural coastline of coarse sand, shingle and pebble. For a day here you will need to bring your own beach mat and umbrella. Refreshments can be found at one of the tavernas scattered along the coastal road or you can take a cool box and lunch under the shade of the trees in one of the designated picnic areas.

Guestbook for Argaka Villa 485
Gowing - This is the 2nd time we have booked through your company. We are already planning next years holiday and we will definitely be using you again, without question. We arrived in Paphos and discovered we had left villa location details in the U.K. We telephoned your office and were given concise instructions, saving the day!
Turner - We thought the villa was wonderful in every aspect. The whole site was beautifully clean and maintained to obvious high standards. The owner paid us many visits, but never encroached, to make sure that all was in good order and that we were completely satisfied. Finally all staff at Rent Cyprus Villas were excellent in every way and helped to make the holiday a complete success. Thank you.
Mowbray - Villa host/owner very helpful and villa + situation excellent.
Mortimer - Wonderful time we had at the villa with all the extras like the play area and the outside dining and cooking area, we will be returning there with the rest of the family.
