The property is located in a quiet location and only 5 minutes walk from the Village Square in Polis where you can find small supermarkets, butchers, bakers, banks, post office, Internet Cafe and a select choice of tavernas and restaurants. Latchi Marina and Harbour is 5 minutes drive where you will find a further choice from the harbour fronted cafes and restaurants. The Baths of Aphrodite can be found a further 5 minutes beyond Latchi. English is widely spoken so there is no problem for first time British visitors to this beautiful island.

There is a twin bedroom and also a roomy master double bedroom and there is plenty of storage space in the fitted wardrobes and drawers in both. The Paphos District
Cyprus is renowned for its virtually all year round sunshine, you can step back in time and visit the Amphitheatre at Kourion and wonder at the artifacts on display, remember to take your camera with you, you also have the fantastic mosaics there together with The House of Eustolios, remember that camera and water!
Use your 4X4 to explore the Troodos Mountains or the nearby Akamas Penninsula, take in the scenery and aromas of Cedar Valley, fantastic! Remember to make sure you have a full tank of petrol before you set out though as petrol stations are few and far between. Don't forget that camera and water!
Alternatively, you could hire Quad Bikes from nearby Polis and try an escorted tour along the Akamas. A Day Cruise or Sunset Cruise from Latchi is recommended for views and breathtaking sunsets not to be matched; food and drink is usually included in these trips and watching them BBQ from the back of the sailing boat anchored out at sea is a sight to behold!
Polis area
The property is located a very short distance from the local amenities where there are small supermarkets, banks, post office, butcher, bakers plenty of tavernas and restaurants. English is widely spoken so there is no problem for first time British visitors to this beautiful island. Ideally placed for visits to Pomos (approx 15 mins), Latchi (5 mins), Baths of Aphrodite (10 mins, Coral Bay (20 mins) or Paphos (25 mins).
On the coast road drive to Argaka stop off at the the "Half Way House" where the hospitallity is as wonderful as the kebabs, or stop off at the "Fly Again" Irish bar (do not judge a book by its cover or a bar by its name!) to enjoy good food topped with an excellent view of the sea and lovely sea breezes - Sunday Lunch with Jazz every other Sunday recommended. If you prefer to stay within walking distance Moustakallis, Mosfilos, Finikas, Arsinoe Fish Restaurant, Chix Chox are just a few to try. Further afield, you will not be disappointed with Pias in Kinousa, Petradaki or The Farmhouse in Kathakas or the Watermill on the Polis/Paphos Road just through Skoulli. A folder will be found in the property recommending places to visit and eat out - all tried and tested!.
In Polis visit the local Museum of Marion Arsinoe, consisting of three exhibition spaces. Objects in one area derive from an extensive area around Polis and are chronologically arranged portraying its historical development from Neolithic and Chalcolithic to the Medieval periods.
Polis is close to where Aphrodite is believed to have met her beloved Adonis. Further along the coast visit the Baths of Aphrodite where it is believed she came to bathe, a quiet and tranquil place to visit.
Latchi Marina is about 8km from the property, here there is a variety of eating places where you must try the fish that has been caught that day and brought into the harbour. Or, sit in one of the harbourside restaurants/tavernas and just people watch. If you are feeling energetic try some of the water sports or take a trip on one of the glass bottom boats out along the Akamas Peninsula and see nature at its best, well worth the time and effort. Take your swimming costume though as the boat moors in a wonderful cove to allow you to swim or snorkel and take refreshments, normally provided.
For those who enjoy the game of golf the closest course is Tsada Golf Club established in 1994, the first course designed by Donald Steel. Par 72 - 6,855 yards and located amongst vineyards, next to a 12th century monastery it is bathed in cooling sea breezes in the summer season. Tsada is a challenging course which has an excellent club house, swimming pool with all changing facilities and is only about a 30 minute drive away.
For those who want to go further afield within an hours drive you will find the Secret Valley Golf Club (Par 72 - 6,737 yards) a championship course surrounded by stunning rock formations and mature trees. Nearby is the Aphrodite Hills Golf Club (Par 71 - 6,855 yards) designed by Cabell Robinson another fine example of a championship course built on two plateaux which has spectacular views of the sea.

Claire and I just wanted to say thanks for a lovely stay and for making our short notice booking so painless. The house was really nice and we appreciated all the little extras...wine, welcome pack, info, maps etc. We won't hesitate to recommend you if we know anyone looking for a place to stay. - S.
