About Droushia: The little village of Droushia (Drouseia) has a population of 404. Set on the high ground of the Laona plateau, it is 27km from Paphos and 10km from Polis.
From Droushia the views are stunning – you can see all the way across to the Troodos mountains and, looking north you can see Chrysochou Bay and the seaside towns of Latchi and Polis. Looking west, there are stunning views of the Akamas Peninsula with many huge landforms scattered in between. Due to its altitude, Droushia is refreshed by a cool breeze coming from the Akamas. In fact, the name Droushia means ‘cool and fresh’ in Greek.
Within around half a mile in Droushia there are tavernas and supermarkets with many more available 10 minutes away in Polis
Although Cyprus is best known for its all year round sunshine, it's also popular as a winter skiing destination, mainly because of the serene beauty of the surroundings. Between January and March, it snows on the top peaks of the Troodos Mountains, the island's most colourful and magnificent park - the highest point being Mount Olympus at 1952m
There are 4 main golf courses in Cyprus, all situated within easy reach of the resorts of Paphos and Limassol.
Best golfing weather is October to March.
Aphrodite Hills Golf Club

The Paphos District
Paphos was once the capital of Cyprus and is full of artefacts, cafes, restaurants, bars and discos. It is now divided into two distinct areas, one area is ideal for those who enjoy shopping, local culture and ancient history and the other for eating and drinking into the early hours. Together with the beautiful beaches, Paphos is a great place for everyone.
If music be the food of love then read on, as Paphos is the resort for you. The one time capital of Cyprus, Paphos is full of interesting artefacts, cafes and restaurants, as well as bars, discos and plush hotels. It is now divided into two quarters, each one as interesting and as exciting as the other - Ktima for those who like to shop and embrace local culture and ancient history; and the port of Kato Pafos where you can eat, drink, make new friends and watch the boats come in and out until sunset. A beautiful resort with beaches to match, that is suited to anyone and everyone.
The number activities that can be enjoyed in and around the Paphos area are endless, from spending time on the beach, to walks along the coast or up in the mountains, bird watching, or looking at the numerous historical sites found all over the Island.
There is so much to do in Paphos, these include Sandy Beaches, Waterparks, Fair Grounds, Go Carting, Golf nad Mini Golf, Boat Trips, Safari Trips, Zoo's,, WaterSports, The list is endless...
Not unsurprisingly on a Island full of resorts, Cyprus has plenty of places where you can enjoy water sports. There's also at least one diving site in each of the big resorts. Mountain biking and hiking are possible, with specially marked trails, on the Akamas Peninsula and in the Troödos, where also in winter Cyprus' only ski resort can be found on the north-eastern face of Mount Olympus. Plus, what Mediterranean resort these days would not be without a golf course or two - there are several courses that have been completed or under construction, with the most popular in the Paphos district, being located at Tsada not too far from the apartment.
There are a number of businesses based in and around the Paphos Harbour area, that offer water sports and other water based activities, such as glass bottom boat trips.
There are lots of activities in Polis and Latchi ranging from water sports, boat trips, fishing, go-karting, mini golf, nature walks, historical sites such as the Baths of Aphrodite, Bowling, Safari's, Sunbathing on the natural beaches, Cycle routes and much more.
The Latchi Tourist resort is only a 10 minute drive from the property and boasts a multitude of shops, restaurants, bar and night clubs.
Coral Bay is also just a 15 minute drive from the resort. Coral Bay boasts loads of activities along with its Blue Flag Beach.
* * The quaint town of Polis is a two minute drive along the coastline and the picturesque fishing hamlet of Latchi a further five minute drive
* Only a 30 minute drive through wine country to Paphos town and a further 10 minutes to the airport
* Close to the Go-kart track, watersports centre, bowling, shopping centre and many of the best restaurants and tavernas in Cyprus
* The untouched Akamas Peninsula and protected national park are a few minutes west along the coast
* The mythological Baths of Aphrodite are also a short distance away
