It has 3 bedrooms (en-suite to master with Jacuzzi bath and super king-sized bed) and sleeps 6. It has a 10m x 5m private swimming pool with roman steps, full air-conditioning, 42’’ LCD TV with Satellite & DVD, Wi-Fi/Internet, washing machine, dishwasher, 2 types of bbq, a 500m2 lawned area for children to play (toys also included), fruit orchard, and much more. Peristerona is primarily an agricultural village producing citrus-fruit vegetables, cereals, olives and almonds. The name Peristerona derives from the Greek word for dove or pigeon (peristeri). The church, St. Barnabas and Hilarion Church, has five domes on the roof arranged in the shape of a cross, a feature only seen on one other church in the island. Peristerona is always a very green village due to the lush vegetation. It all looks particularly special in winter and spring months and is ideal for photographers, artists and those who like to walk and even hike.
Both Peristerona and ‘Steni’ village centres are just 1-2km away from Villa Lee and where you will find a taste of the ‘real Cyprus’. With their mini-markets selling fresh organic produce, coffee shops and restaurants/tavernas as well as the friendly locals, you won’t have to travel far to get the most out of your holiday.
Slightly further afield, you will find further amenities such as supermarkets, pharmacy, petrol station, and the more extensive choice of bars, restaurants, shops etc in Polis (8km). The nearest beach is at Latchi (12km) which is well known as one of the best on the island. You can relax and sun-bathe on the golden sand by the crystal clear waters, sit in the marina and enjoy lunch eating the day’s fresh catch or for the more adventurous there is a great choice of watersports available for all the family.

Further details outdoors:
The extensive private grounds and beautifully kept gardens of Villa Lee in Peristerona are accessed through a set of electric gates that lead down the long private driveway. There is ample parking at the rear and side of the house.
Set within 2000m2 it is the outdoor grounds of Villa Lee which really set it apart from others. A 500m2 lawned area is fully enclosed and allows for children to play safely. There are many toys included for younger children and the older ones have space to play football, cricket or games of their choice. Head through the wooden gate into the orchard and you can have your pick of seasonal fruits.
The centrepiece of the holiday villa's grounds however is a very inviting 10m x 5m private pool with Roman steps. The spacious pool terrace is nicely equipped with 8 large sun loungers that benefit from large overhanging parasols and drinks tables. Also on the pool terrace there is a picnic bench for casual use and admiring the views as well as a pool shower and a large Stone built bbq. A further traditional style rotisserie bbq is also supplied and the owners will be only too happy to show how this works if requested.
Overlooking the private pool and outside the patio doors from the dining area there is a long raised terrace shaded by a solid pergola. A large table and 6 chairs make it the perfect place for alfresco dining and socialising with your party on holiday. An external out-building for storage also hosts the washing machine. Most of the outside areas afford spectacular uninterrupted views of the surrounding valley and hillside. The pretty flowers, shrubs and trees add to the atmosphere, making it the ideal place for relaxing in the sun or shade.

Enquire nowThe Paphos region
Paphos itself consists of two towns, each with their very own character. Ktima on the cliff (Upper Paphos) and Kato Paphos by the sea (Lower Paphos). One is virtually unchanged over the centuries and thoroughly Cypriot, while the other has grown over the last decade from a nice sleepy fishing village and harbour, into a vibrant cosmopolitan resort which is expanding and improving every year.
In Kato Paphos, (in the archaeological park), you will find fine mosaics and buildings from Greek and Roman times, plus the Harbour Castle. Close by is the church of St Paul's Pillar, where the pillar that St Paul was tied to can be found. Further down on this road are the Tombs of the Kings and Christian Catacombs.
This property is also ideally situated to easily get to all 4 golf courses in the Southern part of the island.
The Polis / Peristerona area
Peristerona is primarily an agricultural village producing cereals, olives and almonds with its wonderful climate producing many delightful fruits and vegetables such as cherries, avocado, mango, watermelons, apples, lemons and oranges in abundance.
In various locations around Peristerona there are many remarkable landmark churches. Ayios Georgios was built in the 13th century where frescoes of Saint Mama can be found and it’s still protected by the antiquities department. Churches such as Panayia Chryselousa constructed at the end of the 15th century with Byzantine and Gothic elements, Profitis Elias, Ayios Constantinos, Ayios Charalambos and the country church of Archangel Michael provide for a unique perspective of the village’s history.
Peristerona is situated between the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the spectacular mountains of Paphos Forest and the Troodos. Walking in the forests is a delight. Filled with pine trees, fruit and olive trees, wild flowers and herbs and vineyards the air is scented and the views spectacular.
The nearby village of Steni (also steeped in tradition) hosts a coffee shop with wireless internet access and a very good traditional taverna.
The nearby Latchi beach is renowned as one of the best in Cyprus and not as crowded as the beaches in and around Paphos itself. Latchi beach is famous for its clear blue sea, soft white sand and a great selection of watersports which are readily available. The watersports available at Latchi include diving, snorkelling, sailing, banana rides and a great deal more. Bring your UK driving licence and you can even hire a boat and explore the Akamas coast from the sea.
Paphos airport is 40 minutes away by very good quality roads with English road signs. Visit Peristerona (for a taste of the real Cyprus) and you won’t be disappointed.

Wow what can I say other than this place will exceed all expectations. Location, facilities, villa owners all perfect. Kept spotlessly clean and tidy. Everything in there you could possibly wish for like a home from home. We went as a family of four with two young kids and they also loved this place. Will have no hesitation in going back here. In fact we started to save already. Thanks guys. |

We were lucky enough to stay in the beautiful Villa Lee in late July early August 2011. The house itself is faultless, with its pleasing interior and fabulous pool and gardens. So many sun loungers were available at the house it was hard to choose which one to enjoy a sunny afternoon on whilst the kids playing in the cleanest pool we have ever seen. The owner visited us the morning following our tea time arrival and she explained how everything worked and gave us tips on the local area but as we have visited Cyprus a few times before we didnt really need to know anything other than things to do with the house but i'm sure she would have answered any questions we had. The house is set in a very quiet part of the island which was perfect for us as we prefer to be undisturbed during the day and it is only a 10 minute car ride to Polis and Latchi that offer all the shops and restaurants you could want. With three boys to entertain we visited the Aphrodite Water Park in Paphos and had a really great day with an excellent selection of rides to choose from, we loved the wrist band system so you dont have to carry cash around with you and there were loads of sun beds and inflatables to use unlike the water park in Agia Napa which was a little less organised and the rides are probably better suited to daredevils - which I am not! Another memorable day was when we hired a boat from the Latchi Boat Centre in Latchi, all the staff speak english (as many actually are) and they gave us great instructions and advice on where to go. For the night time we normally went to Paphos as we love Chloe's for the Chinese and Fat Mammas for the food and entertainment. Both well worth a visit. Finally we were lucky enough to have a friend in Nicosia that we visited and she instructed us on how to visit Northern Cyprus as the border has recently been opened. Worth a visit if you are over that part of the island. All in all an excellent holiday that had something for everyone. |
