About the home

This beautiful, luxury stone built villa is set in its own large very private grounds and is the ideal place for that relaxing getaway from it all holiday! A spacious retreat with comfortable furniture and quality fittings and fixtures, fantastic large swimming pool, smaller childs splash pool, lots of sun terraces. Only 10/15 minutes drive from the picturesque harbour of Latchi and coastal town of Polis, and 20 minutes from Paphos. The property offers incredible unobstructed 360 degree panoramic sea, and countryside views, total privacy and space. Numerous patios, sun terraces and covered areas (for those wishing to escape the sun). Excellent Alfresco living and dining area. A/C available, price per unit on request.

For those visitors who can tear themselves away from this idyllic villa the crystal blue sea and beaches are just a short drive. Great opportunities for water sports, boat hire etc. or just chilling at one of the waterside or harbour cafes. The area is full of local tradition, interesting history, picturesque scenery and beautiful walks.
Tavernas, restaurants, bank, shops etc. again within a short drive.

In addition to the 4 bathrooms there is a w.c/cloakroom on the ground floor and also a w/c near the swimming pool.

The villa comprised of a very large and spacious open plan lounge dining area at ground level together with guest w.c., separate large fully equipped kitchen with family room attached. 1 double bedroom downstairs with ensuite shower. All rooms have patio doors that open into the delightful private gardens and pool area. Satellite TV, Wi Fi, DVD Player.

The marble staircase leads to 5 bedrooms, 2 very big master bedrooms with en suite facilities (corner bath with shower) and a further 1 double and 2 twin bedrooms , a family bathroom with jacuzzi bath and shower. Bedrooms have patio doors that lead onto spacious verandas from which to enjoy the spectacular panoramic views. Views are of the surrounding countryside, and village and also a distant sea view.

Further details outdoors:
The villa has extensive landscaped mature gardens with enormous sun terraces and plenty of sun beds surrounding the 12m x 8m kidney shaped swimming pool and smaller splash pool. The decking area has a BBQ.

Surrounding the villa on 2 sides we have excellent covered verandas for those requiring a little shade, here you will find a very relaxing outdoor lounge and dining area and also another spacious covered area for children to play safely out of the mid day sun.

The Paphos region

The Paphos District is both varied and interesting. Surrounded on 3 sides by sea you are never far from the coast and beaches and can choose between quiet and secluded or activity filled with water sports and boat hire. The countryside is beautiful, varied and home to many of the traditional villages where a very genuine welcome is extended to visitors. The village tavernas offer an opportunity to sit and mingle with the locals whilst enjoying excellent traditional food which is usually much cheaper and tastier than those you may find in the designated tourist areas.

The area is steeped in history, and Greek Mythology, with popular tourist attractions include Aphrodites Rock, where it is said Aphrodite ,the Greek Goddess of Love, was from born out of the waves and The Baths of Aphrodite where she bathed in a natural grotto to maintain her beauty.

With 3 golf courses,good restaurants, beautiful walks, varied sports and entertainment Paphos is an ideal holiday location for all. Our villa is centrally located to all areas of Paphos, even the furthest points can be reached within a short drive making it an ideal location for family holidays, groups and wedding parties.

The Polis area

If total tranquillity and lazy days by the pool in this scenic location becomes to much,a short 10 minute drive will take you to sand and shingle beaches, watersports and boat hire facilities, Bowling Alleys, Go Carting and Children's Playground and Restaurants, all in the Polis/Latchi areas. Whilst at Paphos around 20 minutes by car, there are again plenty of activities including the Aphrodite Water Park. Golfers will enjoy the 4 very different golf courses in Paphos the nearest being Minthis Hills,a 10 minute drive, the new Elea course designed by Nick Faldo in Yeriskipou (20 mins), Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills (30 minutes) .

The area is steeped in tradition and history and our villa is ideally located to explore old Cyprus. The village of Giolou is one of the largest Almond growing regions in Cyprus and in spring the area is covered with Almond blossom, later the air is filled with heady orange blossom from the many orange and lemon groves also found throughout this area. The village traditional flour mill still provides flour for the village and surrounding neighbours ( visitors are welcome to call in) whilst the museum at Steni (10 minutes drive) gives an excellent insight of traditional Cyprus life. Panayia, the birthplace of Arch. Bishop Makarios is also within 20 minutes. Kathikas (7km) invites visitors to sample the local wines of their Sterna Vineyards . Goudi village is home to the olive press. The villagers arrive in varying forms of transport laden with olives often selling their excess olive oil to the press where locals and visitors can purchase any quantity of healthy pure olive oil very cheaply.

Within 2km of the villa is the recently opened Ayia Anargyra Spa with its mineral rich natural spring renown for its healing qualities. Visitors can spend the day at the Spa. The Cava Restaurant at the Resort offers a unique dining experience with its medieval aura, 150 year old antique tables, flickering candles, subtle lighting and unforgettable gourmet meals, whilst an abundance of local cuisine can be found in the many villages within the area. Fish lovers can enjoy a Fish Meze with a choice of freshly caught fish in the Fish Tavernas in Latchi Harbour and Prodromi a mere 10/15mins drive from our villa.

“Fantastic villa in an amazing location” We hired this villa with 11 friends for a week's holiday in September. The location was perfect, remote enough not to worry about neighbours and being too noisy, but also close to local shops, a fairly big supermarket and a couple of really nice beaches. The villa itself is excellent; incredibly clean and spacious, all mod cons provided, plus a lovely pool and plenty of outside space! The gas BBQ was also perfect for cooking for a large group every night. Chris and Bob were the ideal hosts, providing excellent directions, offers of food/drinks at the start of the holiday and even meeting us on arrival at the villa. They also very kindly accommodated us for a few extra hours on our final day, which was incredibly helpful as we were flying out of Cyprus quite late at night! “Peaceful and relaxing” We wanted a retreat away from it all and this fitted the bill to perfection. Chris and Bob were very welcoming and not at all intrusive. The villa is beautiful and well equipped. Fabulous kitchen! The pool provided hours of fun with volleyball and very welcome to cool off. The shaded terraces were very welcome, both during the day and in the evenings. Found some lovely restaurants - The Windmill in Kato Paphos is a lovely family run restaurant with great food. The Sea Cave that Chris and Bob recommended serves fabulous fish and has great views overlooking the sea. We tried quite a few different restaurants and all were good. We would recommend a four wheel drive car to get around, especially if you decide to go off track as we did. A wrong turn on the way to Lara's Beach had us driving through a gorge. Not sure the car we hired appreciated having it's undercarriage scraped quite so much! “WONDERFUL STAY AT AN AMAZING PLACE!” We stayed at the villa for 6 days and had an amazing time. The location was exactly what we were looking for, remote and not overlooked by other houses. The coast at Polis and Latchi is about 10 mins driving away and Paphos isn't too far either.At Latchi we rented a boat for a very reasonable price for the whole day and had an amazing time. The facilities ticked all the boxes and everything you could posibly need was there. The house was immaculate in cleanliness and very comfortable. The owners were very accomodating and helpful. Although we do not normally offer less than a 7 day break, we were pleased we could accommodate you for the 6 days you required in between other bookings. “A truly fabulous villa” Copa'r Ddraig is situated on the top of its own hill, which gives you the feeling of staying in your own little kingdom. The villa is very luxurious, huge and immaculate. Great appliances and everything you could need. The outdoor living room is a great place to spend time overlooking the pool. All the children didn't want to come home and leave the big and small pool behind ! Bob and Chris are the perfect hosts, providing a great welcome pack and even preparing dinner due to our late arrival. Nothing is too much trouble but they are not at all intrusive - just there if you need them or to recommend great restaurants, places to swim etc. We're very sad to be back home ......... “Perfect whether you want to get away from it all or be close to the action” We stayed at Copa'r Ddraig in April 2011 as a family of 10 spanning three generations; we have been staying in rented properties at least once a year, every year in the last 8 years and although we had always been lucky with the places and the owners we got, Copa'r Ddraig and its lovely owners, Chris and Bob, are now the absolute, out-and-out favourites! From the first enquiries to the return of security deposit, Chris and Bob have been a true pleasure to deal with. And the house simply blew us away – very generously proportioned and set in a great position atop a mountain on a large plot of land. Ten of us had plenty of room to get together or be apart as the mood took us. It is very well equipped and furnished – luxurious without the price tag. And although it was difficult to leave the house at the end of our stay, it wasn't only because of the luxuries, or the great views and surroundings, but in large part because of Chris' and Bob's warm care – they have managed to make us feel at home away from home! P.S. One last tip – if you are arriving late (or even if you don't), try asking Chris to cook for you – her lasagne is incredible! “Paradise on earth, a beautiful villa in stunning surroundings” I stayed at this villa with my family as our main summer vacation, hoping that we could enjoy some quality family time together. We were completey amazed at the stunning villa we found in Copa'r Ddraig, the scenary left us speechless and the villa itself, facilities and it's caring owners were more than we hoped for or expected. My children loved the large gardens surrounding the villa and especially loved the spacious pool. Ideal for a small or larger groups of familes/friends looking for a luxury peaceful getaway. Would I rent it again or recommend it....without hesitation oh yes!!
