Home description
A light and airy second floor apartment with 2 bedrooms (1double, 1 twin). Large open plan living room/kitchen with patio doors leading to a balcony with superb views of the sea and the Akamas peninsula. There is a double sofa bed in the living room and a well equipped kitchen. Fully air-conditioned. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, a basin and toilet. All linen and towels provided (includes 2 beach towels). There is a communal swimming pool and children's paddling pool with two changing rooms, toilets and showers adjacent to the pool. There is a covered reserved parking space.
Perfect for a relaxing holiday near the traditional Cypriot town of Polis. Watersports, walking, horseriding, karting and several excellent tavernas are all available locally. The nearest golf course is at Tsada - about 25 minute drive. There are good roads linking Polis with the rest of the island and the drive from Paphos has spectacular country and sea views.

The Paphos District
Southern Cyprus has all the ingredients for a wonderful holiday. The climate is sunny and warm for most of the year and hot in the summer months. There are many beaches, beautiful countryside and the Troodos mountains scattered with traditional villages. The bustling town of Paphos is just 45 minutes drive from Argaka. There are many sights there including the harbour with its Byzantine fort, the Tombs of the Kings and the House of Dionysus with its incredible mosaics. Short breaks to Jordan, Egypt and the Greek islands are easy to arrange from Cyprus.
Polis / Argaka area
Argaka has a shingle beach with clear warm sea. Views of the sunset over the Akamas Peninsula are outstanding. The tavernas are welcoming and very good value and there are two small supermarkets. About 10 minutes drive from the apartment lies the small town of Polis with its attractive main square where it is a pleasure to linger with a cool drink and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. The town offers many restaurants, bars and cafes as well as a bank, post office, pharmacy,hairdresser and many interesting shops. Just a few kilometers further west is the small town of Latchi with its attractive harbour and well known restaurants serving a wide choice of food including many varieties of freshly caught fish. There is a watersports centre and boat hire. There are also several shops. The luxury Anassa Hotel is also here. Latchi lies alongside the Akamas Peninsula which is a wild and rugged untouched area of natural beauty. It is possible to take a boat trip there from Latchi.
How to get there
Fly to Paphos - our apartment is 45km from the airport and it takes about an hour by car. Car hire is available at Paphos Airport from several of the main rental companies. Details of a car rental firm in Polis which we have used can be provided if required. The car would be delivered to the airport and left for you but if it is your first visit to Argaka you can choose to be driven to the apartment at no extra cost if you rent a car for a minimum of 1 week.
