About the home

Delightful charming house in the heart of Polignano a Mare historic centre. Just few steps away from the famous piazza Dell'Orologio.

La Trinchettina should really comfortable accommodate four or five guests, offering two large matrimonial bedrooms with two toilettes (one also with tub).

This house is composed by:
- Ground floor of about 25-30sqm with large matrimonial bed and toilette with shower.
- First floor (about 30-35sqm) with large living room and fully equipped kitchen. With fireplace! and a wonderful balcony with view in the Chiasso Trinchetto.
- Second floor with large matrimonial bed and toilette with shower and tub (also with washing machine...). From this lightly room guests should enjoy the partial view of the historic centre.
- Large terrace (more than 30sqm) with wide sea view and beautiful view of the famous bell of Chiesa Matrice. Terrace could offer enough space for having a great "sea-view breakfast".

La Trinchettina is a great place where two couples of friend or a family with 2-3 sons could enjoy a relaxing stay in a charming and comfortable typical "Puglia' style"!

Conditions

Balance is due cash at the beginning of holiday after the check-in with the manager/owner, if you are not able to pay cash, you should pay the total amount by bank transfer before your arrival (cheques and travellers cheque are not allowed).
Due to security and legal reasons law we will check-in only guests who have compiled our booking-form and agreement.
Security deposit (to be refunded at the end of the stay) EUR 250.
Please be sure to leave the house in good condition.
No pets.
Final cleaning mandatory EUR 60.
Intermediate cleaning mandatory for stay more than one week.
Arrival time is mandatory in the afternoon between 4pm and 8pm (unless otherwise agreed). At arrival later than 8pm an extra charge will be applied.
Please advise us of your departure time at least 24 hours before. The check-out must be taken not later than 10 am.
Electricity is billed by use at EUR 0,30 per KW/h.
NEW 2011: Free weekly intermediate cleanings / change of linen&towels
Bed linen and bath towels available on request - EUR 10 per person.
Heating - if used - is billed at EUR 50 per week.

The Puglia/Molise region

Puglia is a wonderful area to consider. It offers at least one excellent archaeological museum, a host of cathedrals dating back to the 10th century, Greek and Roman ruins, a gleaming necklace of lively fishing villages, one of Europe's largest forests, a chain of medieval hill towns, and some of the very cleanest beaches and water in the Mediterranean.

The Polignano a Mare area

Polignano a Mare overlooks the sea with houses from high up on the rocks. The buildings are all whitewashed, there is a stunning cathedral. The numerous caves in Polignano al Mare were formed from the rough sea waves that moulded the rock. Some of the caves are deep enough to reach the centre of the town.

What to see:
Chiesa Matrice, consecrated in 1295, with a massive, quadrangular bell tower. The 16th century Renaissance style prevails inside the church, but the presbytery is Baroque.
S. Vitos Abbey, with a sixteenth-century loggia, a large courtyard and a medieval watch-tower.
Palazzese Grotto can be reached from the sea and from land, via a staircase inside the famous restaurant of the same name.
