Hidden Treasures DKD The setting of this villa so captures your fantasy of a tropical island paradise that Hollywood could not have done better. Located in prestigious Pointe Milou, St Barts, newly renovated Villa Hidden Treasures is a tiny jewel that offers qualities rarely found together in one location in St. Barths affordable prices in a highrent district, infinite ocean views from three sides of the house, an expansive deck and a 13meter pool that seem to end in the middle of the ocean, and no traffic noise. The only sound you hear is the breeze moving through the palm trees. In true island style, the house is open to the outside. It almost feels like a loft, with one area moving easily into another. The concept is to take full advantage of the ocean views and, in a compact space, to create options for comfortable, easy living whether you are lounging, dining, or bronzing. For example, you have two completely different dining areas. There is even a simple, wood gazebo below the pool, just large enough for a massage table or perfect for cocktails at sunset. The materials are simple, stylish and create a refreshing atmosphere Ash wood, a silvergreen resin floor throughout, a stainless steel kitchen, white linens. The accessories, like jewelry, add character Christian Liagre and Artemide lamps, fun Philippe Starck stools, Flos lighting. The interior and exterior colors were custom created by Donald Kaufman and Taffy Dahl, who have designed colors within, among others, the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the Delano Hotel in Miami, and the J. Paul Getty Fine Arts Center in Los Angeles. Our white, for instance, reflects less light and is cooler. The living room has a sinkintosofa, chaise and chairs in relaxed white duck fabric. There is a tiny office off the living room. The house is WIFI equipped. The sunroom perfects that outdoor feel indoors, with an 11 ft. ceiling, rattan couch and chairs, and a wonderful place to eat at a long wood table. The house steps up the hillside to the kitchendining area for even more dramatic views. Everything you need is within reach. The stainless steel countertops and appliances gleam. Just next to the kitchen island in its own space, a hip, white polyethylene table makes another cozy place to dine. The shade porch extends right out from the kitchendining area. Its canvas awning and big outdoor bed invites you to curl up with a book, or just stare at the view. The bedroom and bathrooms air conditioned are two equal master suites, with custom designed, king size bed and closet units, and crisp white linens, creating a fresh haven. French butter cloth curtains create atmosphere blackout shades let you sleep. Sliding doors open onto decks overlooking the ocean. Both of these bedrooms are nonsmoking. The bathrooms have twin sinks, and showers, and luxuriously thick, white towels and 100 cotton robes exclusively designed and made in India for villa DKD. You will feel instantly at home and, on vacation.A 2 minute drive is a small local supermarket and a 4 minute drive to the supermarkets and bakery in Lorient. The village of St. Jean is a 57 minute drive and it is a 12 minute drive into Gustavia. The Windward region

St Barts, known as Saint Barthelemy officially and simply as Saint-Barth to the locals, is eight square miles of paradise in the north eastern corner of the Caribbean arc. Not far from either St Kitts or Anguilla, both of which can be seen on the horizon.

In contrast to its formerly British neighbouring islands, St Barts remains resolutely French and 100% part of the French Republic, with all the emphasis on style, fashion and cuisine that that entails.

Discovered by Colombus in 1493 and then again in 1957 by the Rockefellers, St Barts is famed as the playground of the rich and famous and at Christmas the global jet-set and glitterati can be found enjoying the 22 beaches and the 80 or so restaurants. The hotels on St Barts are small and the majority of the accommodation is in villas, of which we have the widest possible choice

Pointe Milou

Pointe Milou has the reputation as the Beverley Hills of St Barts. An exclusive area comprised mainly of rental villas, Pointe Milou provides calm and privacy as well as amazing cliff top and sunset views over the island.
