The West Sussex region
Sussex is a very special county. An English gem of a county! Here an award winning coastline meets beautiful rolling countryside. Sussex boasts picturesque villages, traditional seaside resorts, historic houses and gardens, sports and leisure attractions and more:
South Downs National Park - England's newest national park, two thirds of which is in Sussex. Enjoy walks in the countryside, visits to the gardens of the Sussex Weald, wildlife watching at nature reserves and country parks or a pub lunch in one of the many villages. Or fly a kite from the vast open space of Devil's Dyke.
Beaches and Coastline - Worthing beach is just a short walk from the apartment, but there are numerous beaches within easy reach (including for example Brighton beach and East Head, a national trust beach at the mouth of Chichester harbour).
Historic houses and gardens – There are so many to choose from. Arundel Castle, Chichester Cathedral, Parham House and Gardens, Nymans (National Trust garden) and Bramber (an enchanting medieval house) are all within very easy reach.
Museums – A huge variety for example: Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre, the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum (Chichester), Look and See Visitor Centre (Littlehampton).......
Arundel (10 minutes drive) is a charming market town which is a delight to the visitor. It spans the River Arun between the South Downs and the Sussex coastline. Its many attractions include: olde worlde tearooms, river cruises, stunning castle and cathedral, open air heated lido and the famous Arundel Wetland Centre.
Transport Delights – including historic railways (South Downs Light Railway, Bluebell Railway) and the Wey and Arun Canal (boat trips, cycling and walking).
Worthing is a classic, traditional seaside resort and an ideal place from which to explore the Sussex coast and the South Downs. Worthing has a vibrant town centre with a range of cafes, restaurants, tearooms and pubs.
Activities on your doorstep include watersports, cycling and walking (coastal path, Cissbury Ring), kitesurfing (Worthing is the British centre for kite surfing) and ice skating (February and March).
Worthing's Beach House Park is synonymous with bowls with the national championships being played here each year along with many international events and the greens are considered to be some of the best in the country.
There is also a variety of entertainment including the Connaught and the Pavilion Theatres and the Dome (a restored Edwardian gem of a cinema).
Churches include the English Martyrs Church which is notable for having the only known reproduction of the Sistine Chapel in the world - two thirds the original size.
The Poets District is a residential area of period houses and it is said that Oscar Wilde wrote 'The Importance of Being Earnest' in this area!
Worthing has so much to offer and it is recognised as having one of the sunniest climates in the UK. (It has its own microclimate caused by the River Arun to the West, River Adur to the East and the South Downs to the North.)

"Perfect home from home."
We were looking for a base to visit friends in Chichester and Brighton and this suited our needs (2 adults and a 6 year old) perfectly. The apartment has a good sized living room that has a lovely little balcony that you can sit and have your morning cup of tea on. The kitchen is also a good size and has everything you need. It's set in a quiet, residential part of town and we never had any problem parking. We took our daughter's scooter as we weren't sure how far it would be to the seafront but it's only 10-15 mins and there is a great little children's park at the end of the road which made a good stopping off point. Only a 5 min walk to west Worthing station..all in all a really good place to stay.
Thank you so much for your kind review which I am sure will be useful for anyone considering staying in our apartment.

"A nice place to explore the area"
The house is located in a beautiful neighbourhood with nice houses and easy walking to the beach en shops. We visited a lot of villages and cities in the area, the A27 was near by.
Thank you very much for your review. The location of the apartment is, as you say, very convenient for walking to the beach or into the town and it is easy to travel to many other lovely and interesting places.

"Quiet and comfortable"
We felt right at home here. It was quiet, impeccably clean, bright and spacious. The small shop close by had all we needed to prepare food in the well equipped kitchen. It was convenient to the railway station and to a few restaurants/pubs. Highly recommended if you want to spend time near the sea or tour the Sussex/Hampshire area or travel by train to London
Thank you for your kind review. We are so please that you enjoyed your stay in Worthing and felt at home in the apartment.
