About this location
The Tuscany region
Villa Oliveto is located in the mountains at the back of La Spezia overlooking the valley of Montedivalli and the sea. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, living room (wood oven with a glass window plus central heating) and dining space, two double bedrooms, a TV-room, a bathroom and a large terrace (30 square metres). The coast is about 15 km away. Montedivalli isn't also far away from the world famous Cinque Terre. The stunning coastline is one of the wildest spots in Italy, with high and rocky mountains climbing directly from the sea. Sea water is crystal clear, nature intact, with all kinds of wild animals and Mediterranean flora. The villa is part of a rural property 350 m high over the sea. The place is called La Serra which means “the greenhouse”. All around wood, fruit trees, vineyard, olive grove and typical Mediterranean vegetation make you feed relaxed. Here is possible to listen to the sound of the country.
Golf information: Lerici (9 holes - par 54) golf course in Lerici
Lerici is the ideal place to the desire to play golf and enjoy the sea.
The club was founded in 1974 and is situated in a typical landscape of terraced olive groves and, despite its modest size, is an excellent example of how a golf course can be created on a smaller area with technically challenging result. With its picturesque views of the nearby Lerici this golf course is especially low handicap player to the test. 10 Range haircuts. Lerici, 11 km south east of La Spezia, in an open bay to the west, is a small town, which in the 12th Century was founded by Pisa and has retained the characteristics of an ancient Ligurian town. Of further interest is the beautiful medieval castle, from where you have an incredibly beautiful view.
You can reach many interesting places from Montedivalli in 30 minutes or little more like the Golfo dei Poeti, where Lord Byron used to spend long periods or the famous Cinque Terre. The Cinque Terre represents one of the best preserved natural and semi-natural areas of the Mediterranean. Historical and geomorphologic reasons have forbidden excessive housing development and the creation of major roadways (which instead are present inland in the Val di Vara). Human activity and especially viticulture, have contributed to create a unique landscape in which development of the typical stone walls is so extensive as to equal that of the famous Great Wall of China. All this, combined with the characteristics of a crystal clear sea, of architecturally interesting locations, of a varied and extensive network of paths (one of the most enviable in the whole Mediterranean), makes the Cinque Terre an increasingly sought after location among Italian and foreign tourists.
