About the home

Here at La Metairie we take pride in the quality if our holiday homes, prefect for a romantic getaway or a family holiday. In a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, each cottage offers well quipped kitchens, tastefully furnished oak beamed living areas with wood burning stoves, T.V. and DVD players, comfortable bedrooms some en-suite. All cottages have their own patios or garden area with garden furniture and BBQ.

La Metairie is prefect for young families having large garden areas and secure designated play areas situated away from driveways and car parking for their entertainment modern swings and slides, a tree house, a 'school' house with blackboard and play kitchen. Play hut with pool table, table football and table tennis. And most importantly our securely fenced key accessed heated swimming pool has a well equipped sun terrace to relax with a book or sunbath.

Ground Floor: Spacious living room with wood burning fire T.V. with Basic English satellite channels, DVD player. Large kitchen with dining area, includes ñ cooker, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave.

1st Floor: Three Double bedrooms, Master bedroom with Queen sized bed and en-suite shower with shower, WC and wash basin. Bedrooms 2 and 3 both have twin beds. Family bathroom with bath and over head shower, WC and wash basin.

The Brittany / Morbihan region

Just a cross the English Channel and increasingly accessible, there is another world, full of secret delights. Its pleasures are a constant temptation to the senses, a world full of space, light and colour to be enjoyed in haste or at leisure and made memorable by itís contrasts.

Morbihan is a Breton word and means little sea, it has many white sandy beaches, you could easily spend two weeks going to a different beach everyday. and quaint fishing villages dot the coastline of the Morbihan gulf, this wonderful ëLittle Seaí of Brittany is a maze of sandbanks and green islands, flooded twice a day by the Atlantic.

Its shores host the historic towns of Vannes and Auray, the standing stones at Carnac and the long Quiberon Peninsular with its dramatic Cote Savage. This great tidal gulf, crammed with islands is a paradise waiting to be explored.

Coastal resorts are thirty minutes drive and include: Carnac, Erdeven and Le Pouldu, all have beautiful white sandy beaches and remain mostly un-crowded. A wide range of sport is available from tennis to golf to horse riding to surfing. Chateaus, magnificent gardens, forests, lakes and birdlife are all in abundance in this delightfully mild climate. Here in the Gulf of Morbihan there truly is something for everyone, each of our holiday cottages has a guest information book that gives comprehensive information on all of the above and more.

The Pluvigner area

Our nearest town, Pluvigner, is two miles south of La Metairie. There you will find a wide range of traditional shops, around the market square there are a number of cafes, bars and banks and newsagents. You will also find high quality restaurants and creperies all within easy reach. There are doctor and dentist services in Pluvigner and Camors. The nearest hospital is in Auray a fifteen minute drive

“Excellent family holiday cottage” A lovely, comfortable and well-equipped cottage. Spacious shared garden with lots of play equipment for children and a heated pool. Both cottage and garden were child-safe, meaning that it was a relaxing week without having to worry about what the children were getting up to! Plenty of family-friendly attractions and days out nearby (i.e. within 30min drive.) When we next plan a holiday in that area of France we'd try to book Bramble Cottage (or one of the other three cottages on side) without hesitation!

“Great Family holiday location” We booked very let minute and Joanne and Adrain could not have been more helpful. Lovely big garden for children to run around in and climbing frames etc. Really lovely heated pool also.

“Well equipped, spacious and comfortable accommodation.” Very child friendly place with good pool and play areas. Owners on site very friendly and hepfpul. Cottages well equipped and attractive. Around 30 minutes drive from beaches and main tourist towns.
