The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region
A day at the coast is just a 60 mile drive to the pink granite coast in the north, Brest to the west or the beautiful sandy beaches with beach side restaurants to the south. In Rostrenen some 8 kms away you can find 2 banks, 3 supermarkets and a Tuesday market. We will check out local events and leave information to help you get the most from your holiday.
Plouguernevel area
Colperno is approx 500 mtrs from the Nantes to Brest canal, the canal is some 250 km in length and has facilities to satisfy the keenest canoeist ie. water shoots, for the keen walker the canal towpath offers as much countryside walking as anyone could manage ie. follow the towpath towards Guarec and beyond and you find yourself at the 'Abbey de Bon Repose' an 11th century abbey with some of the most stunning scenery in France. From here walks are directed through the forests and destinations are marked in hours and days not kms, if walking is not your thing cycles can be rented by the day locally in the village of Plelauff.
How to get there
Ferries serve the ports of St Malo and Roscoft from plymouth, Poole and Portsmouth. A range of ferry companies offer servies such as P & O, Condor and Brittany Ferries. See operators website for details.
The Brittany area of France has good road access and is served by a number of motorway networks. A variety of car hire companies operate in the area, offering a number of vehicles for rent to suit every budget!
Hgih speed TGV trains link the Brittany area with major French towns such as Paris, Lyon and Lille.

Further details outdoors: Stands in 30 acres of farm and woodland and has it's own full size walled in heated swimming pool with dressing room and solar shower, there are no immediate neighbours, and the property is to be let with exclusive use of all facilities. 1 acre + grassed play area.
Although the farmhouse is private for the exclusive use of holidaymakers, the owners live on site in a mobile home, so are always on hand to help.
There is a step from the kitchen area through to the downstairs bedrooms making it unsuitable for wheelchair access, for the same reason we caution against suitability for elderly or infirm, however, it may be suitable for some elderly or infirm that can manage the one step.
Consideration will be given to pets but only if they are declared at time of booking and owners will be responsible for any damage done by pets, clients can be assured that all downstairs floors are stone tiled and therefore unlikely to be damaged by pets. Please note that this is a working farm and the owners have several animals of their own.
