Welcome to this stone-built longère, converted from former stables, in a secluded Anglo/French hamlet two miles from pretty Plœuc-sur-Lié with its numerous bars & restaurants, Carrefour supermarket, range of local shops, weekly market in the main square, and of course, huge stone church.

The house retains a traditional feel with a Breton theme and exposed roof beams on all floors.

The open plan living room has a leather sofa and oak furniture with windows front and back to let the sunshine flood in.

Our house sleeps up to six adults in three bedrooms. You will find the master bedroom with carved oak king size bed on the first floor as well as the bathroom and a separate WC, whilst on the second floor we have the green room with a pine double bed, and blue room with two single divan beds, both with more original beams and Velux windows giving wonderful views over open countryside.

The ground floor is open plan and has a well equipped kitchen with fridge (including freezer compartment), microwave, oven and hob, and a large lounge/dining area all of which opens out onto 545m2 garden and patio with barbecue, garden table and four chairs. There are more great views over the garden and the fields beyond

The house is thoroughly cleaned at each changeover but we would appreciate you taking the time to leave the house tidy when you depart. This home is very well appointed but not suitable for children under 4 years due to the wooden stairs. Also, for the comfort of all our guests there is no smoking, and pets aren't permitted. The accommodation is over three levels and so may not be suited for those with mobility difficulties.

Full details on how to obtain the key for Le Millet will be provided a week before your booking.

Outside

Outside there is a long, private garden mainly laid to lawn at the rear of the house, There is a shed for bike storage if needed. The patio and back garden are west facing which make them the ideal place to sit in an evening watching the spectacular sunsets with a glass of wine or local cider in hand. Please feel free to use the BBQ which is stored in the shed. There is an old well in the garden, care should be taken not to drop anything or anyone into it. There is car parking for one car (more by arrangement) in front of our house. There are footpaths and biking trails from the hamlet and we are very close to the river Lié.

Unspoilt beaches of the Cote d’Armor are only 40 mins away at St Laurent or Binic west of the bay of St Brieuc as well as Pleneuf Val Andre and Erquy to the east.

More locally, our local village of Plouec has everything you could need. Boulangeries with their gorgeous freshly baked bread, local shops and a super weekly market all year round

Ploeuc sur Lie

If you’re reading this you’ll already know that the Breton countryside is the perfect location to reinvigorate yourself with a combination of the joys of a slower, more organic lifestyle, the accessibility of modern amenities and fantastic beaches and rural vistas. Our property accentuates that experience – based in an Anglo-French farming hamlet far from the madding crowd, yet within 2 miles of a bustling village (with its authentic weekly market for local produce, and Carrefour supermarket for everything else) and 15 of a thriving city, a stay at Le Millet (a stone longère, converted from stables, now with beams and character a-plenty) will transport you to a gentler and more romantic era, without sacrificing anything you need for a comfortable holiday.

Ploeuc in summer is a hive of activities, full details readily available from the mairie in the main square
