Home description
Pictured below, this Old Cider Press has been converted into a comfortable holiday home with lots of individual character and charm. Entry is via the middle floor into the living room/dining area, which has a lovely view over the valley. There is also a traditional Breton fireplace and a fully equipped kitchenette. Open pine stairs lead to a twin bedroom in the converted attic with a stair gate. As the stairs are quite steep, it may not be suitable for the infirm and toddlers. There is also a video player and a french TV. A door and stone steps lead to the garden. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom and bathroom with shower. A cot and highchair are available. Pets are welcome.
There are now many options for travelling to Brittany. You can find out about ferry sailings from Brittany Ferries. Alternatively Ryan Air fly from Stansted to Dinard and Brest. Le Pressoir is 2 hours from St Malo or one and a half hours from Roscoff. The village of Ploernut is 1 km away with the market town of Guemene sur Scorff a further 10 minutes drive. The nearest restaurant and local store is just 1 km away.
The prices include normal use of electricity, gas, water and a small welcome pack which may consist of a bottle of wine and complimentary free range eggs from the local hens. Salt, pepper, tea towels, dish cloths and washing up liquid are also provided. There is an extra charge for linen and for wood for the log fire. Bed linen is charged at 10 euros per double and 8 euros per single (payable on arrival). The beds prepared ready for your use when you arrive. Logs (depending on season and availability) approximately 5 euros per basket. However there is no charge for use of the cot and highchair, produce or herbs from our garden, borrowing videos, babysitting, assistance with French at the doctors/garage etc., short taxi rides to the local restaurant on special occasions!

Dining
The Brittany / Morbihan region
Come and enjoy the charm of Brittany, a land created by wind, water and time. There are high cliffs and sandy beaches, historic fishing villages and famous seaside resorts. Further inland you will find rolling hills and lakes. The region is full of local customs and traditions. The climate here is mild throughout the year and is hot and sunny from May through to October.
Ploerdut area
The lovely climate and the hospitality of the local people is what primarily attracts many tourists to visit the area. Not forgetting of course the many French restaurants which provide delicious and reasonably priced food to wet the appetite.
