9 Sea Witch is the ultimate California-style designer holiday villa in white with everything you need for the perfect holiday in Plettenberg Bay. It's perfect for World Cup 2010.
All bedrooms are doubles or twins , and each has a floor-to-ceiling glass door leading on to terraces with panoramic views of the bay and Robberg Beach. The bedrooms have custom-made designer furniture, and all beds are either twin or doubles, with extra-soft pillow-top mattresses and goose-down pillows and duvets for a perfect night's sleep. Almost all rooms are en-suite, with huge showers and baths. All linen and towels, as well as beach towels, beach brollies and beach toys, are included in the rental.
The heated swimming pool is safe for children and the pool deck with its recliners is part-shaded, part open - a perfect place to relax. The house has a large suntrap garden with exotic plants and a fabulous outside eating deck with dining table, and built-in gas barbecue right there - perfect for a lunch or dinner party.
The huge open-plan living room has floor-to-ceiling sliding doors to a vast terrace with a panoramic view across the bay. The terraces all have halogen recessed lighting for evening entertaining. The house can accommodate parties of up to 100 people.
The house is uniquely positioned within walking distance of the town centre with its excellent shops, restaurants and facilities, yet is tucked away in a tranquil street on the cliff edge next to a nature reserve on an almost traffic-free street. A few moments walk will take you to the Upper Deck centre, with its sushi bar, restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques.
The maid lives on site in her own annex and so is always on hand to help with cooking, cleaning and general duties.

The Western Cape region
The Garden Route is world-famous for its beautiful views, magnificent beaches, and year-round mild climate. Summers (Oct-May) are balmy and temperatures can reach 30 degrees C. Winters are extremely mild with temperatures rarely dropping below 10-15 degrees C, making it a year-round destination.
9 Sea Witch is a perfect base from which to explore the many wonderful beaches in the area, with historic coastal towns such as George and Knysna nearby. It is also well-located to reach Port Elizabeth, the site of many World Cup 2010 matches.
The area has hiking in super-abundance, with innumerable treks and hikes of varying difficulty, all of which have stunning scenery. Choose from the coastal Otter Trail, the inland Tstsikamma Trail, or the many day-hikes along beaches and through cool Afro-Montane forests.
Further inland takes you to even more walking and 4x4 country, with the mountain passes leading you into the Langkloof and the enormous nature reserves of the area, which are often signposted for day and overnight hikes.
Plettenberg Bay / Robberg Ridge area
Plettenberg Bay ("Plett") is the most beautiful town on the Garden Route. It is known as South Africa's millionaire's playground, and boasts world-class beaches, restaurants, and shops.
Sports facilities are second-to-none and include numerous golf courses, polo, kite-surfing, wind-surfing, surfing, diving, hang-gliding, bungee jumping, flying and aerobatics, equestrian centres, 4x4 trails and vehicle hire. Plett is the adrenaline capital of the Garden Route. Our local rental agent can help you with all these activities.
Plett also has many business serving the eco-tourim market, with whale-watching, birding, and uniquely, numerous nearby game parks open for day visits or for overnight safaris. Plett also has several world-famous animal conservancies, including the Tenikwa wild cat conservancy where you can stroke cheetahs, elephant parks, the Bird of Eden tropical bird sanctuary, Monkeyland, where you can walk among the many species of monkey and lemurs and many other attaractions. Plett has it all!
How to get there
Fly to Johannesburg or Cape Town and connect on the many domestic flights to George Airport (SA Express, 1Time, Nationwide or Kulula). The house is 90 minutes from George Airport on the N2 national highway by car. Car rental at George Airport is easy, all the major rental companies hire from there. Alternatively, fly domestic to Port Elizabeth from Johannesburg and rent a care at PE Airport. The drive is about 2 hours from PE on the N2 national highway

Parties for up to 100 people can be easily accommodated.
The vast eat-in kitchen has every conceivable amenity for home gourmet cooking, and the maid has been trained by a local catering company to deliver gourmet meals with a touch of South Africa.
A widescreen TV with multi-channel satellite TV, DVD, two hi-fis with ipod connections and built-in ceiling speakers are available for use.
Further details outdoors: Each terrace has been angled to give the best view of the bay, and comfortable recliners can be found on all of them. The top floor terrace is a large private space with its own rooftop garden, perfect for relaxing after the beach.
The property is walled and highly secure. It is fully alarmed, with CCTV entryphone system and security guard response.
The garage has remote-operated security doors, and there is additional parking behind a remote-operated gate on the forecourt. The property has a ping-pong table, and membership of the local river club on the Keurbooms river, where the property keeps a two-man canoe, perfect for flat-water adventures on the remote and beautiful Keurbooms River.
