The house is very well situated in a quiet place. Surrounding, you have many possibilities to practice leisure activities like walking, riding, fishing, diving and so on. Moreover, amenities and restaurants aren't far. For example, Binic, which is a pretty yatching port with a sandy beach, or Saint-Brieuc, an important town with many shops, are both about 5 minutes drive.
There are many attractive places all around the house, where you will enjoy discovering the Breton culture with a variety of typical markets and different festivals. For example, if you are interested in celtic music festivals, you can go to a famous one in Lorient (125kms).

The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region
As far as climate is concerned, Brittany enjoys a warm spring and summer. Temperatures can rise up to 25 degrees in June and July, but tend to average the 20s during the other months of those seasons. There are many historical towns to discover in the "Cotes d'Armor" such as Dinan or Saint Malo. Dinan hosts a medieval festival every two years in July. In alternate years an other town named Moncontour hosts the spectacle. The "Mont Saint Michel" is one of the best touristic place in Brittany because people like spending hours exploring the medieval abbey fortress. It is really worth to visit it! The north coast has also a lot of beuatiful sandy beaches: Pléneuf Val André, Binic, Erquy, Saint Pabu, Saint-Quay-Portrieux. And if you want to test french gastronomy, have a break in Binic, a town with many restaurants.
Plerin / Saint Brieuc area
Plérin is a seaside resort, near Saint-Brieuc (5 km). You can visit the Pink Granite Coast (60 km) or the Emerald Coast (25 km), with castles like Fort La Latte or the "Cap Frehel". Dinan (65 km) is a medieval city. Bréhat, an island in the north of Paimpol (a former Island fishing port), where you are able to sail.
How to get there
By ferry from Portsmouth to Saint-Malo or Roscoff, the ferry port is approximately a one hour and a half drive.
By plane, there are cheap flights to Dinard with Ryan Air (from Stanstead and East Midlands throughout the year and from Luton to Dinard during the summer). Dinard is approximately one hour drive, and car hire is also available at the airport.
