The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region
The climate in Brittany is very much like Cornwall. The location of the property makes it easy to access the child friendly beaches within a 30 minute drive or visit the medieval cities of Dinan or St Malo within 40 mins. Cape Frehel is only 30 minutes drive should you wish to walk along the stunning clifftop with coastal views. Rennes city is only a short drive away with historical buildings and boutiques or travel by train to Paris..There is something for everyone. June is a good time to visit should you wish to visit true French festivals which are usually held in the hamlets each year.
Plenee Jugon area
Jugon-les lacs is a small village which is within 9km of the property and has a very large lake with amazing views, recreation centre and many water sports consisting of sailing, windsufing, canoeing and also an outdoor heated swimming pool. With a short drive you can also reach the medieval town of Dinan which has a festival every two years in July which must be visited. St Malo is also in easy driving distance with its stunning walled city and many beautiful and child friendly beaches. For those who would like a real treat then adventure to Paris in just over 2 hours by train from Lamballe.
How to get there
Fly East Midlands to Dinard with Ryanair, La Villa es Fray is 46 km (3/4 of a hour drive). There are taxis at the airport together with car hire companies for example Europ cars and Hertz. Ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo overnight 8 hours (Brittany ferries) 57 km (3/4of an hour drive) to property. Weymouth to St Malo day crossing (condor ferries Poole/Portsmouth to Caen(Brittany ferries) 2h 15m drive to property. Poole/Portsmouth to Cherbourg (Brittany ferries) 2h 30m drive to property.

Further details indoors: The property is equipped with new facilities and is of a high standard which accommodates every season such as underfloor heating to both floors for the winter months (additional cost applies, please ask for further information). A basket of logs is included in the rental price for the winter months for the log burning stove in the lounge (additional baskets can be pre-arranged at an extra cost).
Further details outdoors: Both double en-suite rooms have two full height doors with safety rails. The rear landscaped garden is south facing with patio area/BBQ and also is equipped with wooden garden furniture which seats 10 people together with parasol. Parking area is ample to the front of property.

Have now had two fantastic holidays in this well equipped luxury converted barn, everything is clean and new with a look of quality, beautiful antique furniture gives the gite the French feel. The quite location gives a relaxing environment, surrounding area is ideal for walks, bike riding and water activities. Great exploring in nearby historic villages and towns.
