This carefully renovated and very well equipped home is perfectly located to explore the 'Perigord Noir'.This is one of the most beautiful regions of France which enjoys fabulous sunny weather.It is equally famous for its prehistory (many interesting cave and grotto decorated sites inc Lascaux 2) .There is a wide range of activities for all the family nearby - canoeing,kayaking,horse riding,cycling, water parks etc.All around are houses dating from the 12th century

The house faces due south to enable you to enjoy your evening appero with a beautiful,warm and radiant atmosphere.Plazac although small has a lovely Church and interesting ancient houses & streets.It is international in atmosphere and ambiance with 21 nationalities living in and around the village.

The house has 3 bedrooms (2 big doubles ) both have open plan bathrooms with bath/shower/double basin/bidet/wc. One good sized room (ground floor) with 2 beds and adjacent shower room(with shower/basin/wc). Groundfloor has large family kitchen with access to terrace &. door to rear.Front of house has a small well equipped kitchen (on mezzanine) a wc next door and the grand salon with doors to front and to poolside and terrace.Both 1st floor bedrooms have many stairs to access.The house is full of interesting antique furniture & paintings with an extensive library of modern & antique books also many games /dvd/cd /videoetc.There are Tv's in Grand Salon & family kitchen with English digi box and many other satellite channels.

The pool is chlorine and 6.5 x 3.5 metres and is located just outside the salon terrace doors.There are upper and lower terraces (upper from family kitchen) both terraces have tables/chairs (lower terrace with sunbeds & parasols both with lovely views over the valley.There are 2 small garden areas one with lawn the other flowers/veg.There are 4 AT bikes free to use (2 new/2 not so new!)

The Dordogne region

The Dordogne or Perigord is a lovely part of France with excellent sunny climate. All around are places of interest be it pre - history, chateaux - museums or the lovely unspoilt countryside.The valley of the Vezere is really beautiful and accessible by many canoe centres. Many activities are located nearby be it canoe/kayak,riding,tennis,water sports,fishing and more. All around are the famous wine growing areas -Bergerac,St Emillion,Monbazillac to name just a few!

Plazac

The medieval village of Plazac is situated in the valley of the Vezere.The village famous for its 12 century church & presbytery ,it's enchanting winding streets and beautiful ancient houses dating back 600 years.

There is a lively cafe,restaurant and organic grocery store also a boulangerie/epicerie for your morning bread & croissants.

Plazac is ideally located to visit many of the most spectacular sites of pre-history .Th region is a World Heritage site as listed by UNESCO. Nearby are the wonderful Lascaux caves with paintings, La Roque St Christophe & many others of interest.

Local markets happen all around throughout the week & weekends with excellent fresh produce.All around are lovely restaurants where you can enjoy magret and confit of duck,foie gras,truffles& more!
