There is a wide range of actvities available for all the family, canoeing, kayaking,horse riding,golf, cycling, tennis, adventure parks, water parks, quads etc. Also visit the wine growing areas of Bergerac, Monbazillac and St Emillion
Plazac area
The medieval village of Plazac is just 4 kms from Escoffie: visit the fortified church, presbetry and museum. Also you will find a boulangerie convenient for collecting morning bread and croissants, a lively café, restaurant and organic grocery shop. Plazac is situated in the Vézere valley, an exceptional location listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site. Here we find the famous cave paintings of Lascaux (Montignac) The National Museum of Prehistory (Les Eyzies), cave dwellings of the Roque St Christophe and many more. There are many excellent and affordable restaurants in the vicinity, where you can taste foie gras, magret and confit of duck, truffles and wild mushrooms.
