Playa San Juan is a delightful coastal fishing village situated on the South West Coast of Tenerife and has the charm and character of a typical Canarian village. It also has the driest climate and warmest temperature to compliment the recently created golden sandy beach.
Los Gigantes, Los Cristianos, and Playa de Las Americas are within 15 mins car travel and offer all forms of attractions. The latest being Siam Water Park. There are six top class golf courses, three of which are within 20mins drive.

The Tenerife region
The village of Playa San Juan, is close to the beach and other local amenities including Supermarkets, Bars, and Restaurants.
As Playa San Juan is situated on the South West Coast it has the reputation of being the warmest, sunniest and driest area on the Island. It is claimed that the average number of days on which it rains in any year totals no more than seven. It is close to Los Gigantes and other major resorts of Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas, with frequent local bus service to all of these places.
Further afield, is the cliff village of Masca, where people once lived without access to other parts of Tenerife, and offers an insight into the old Canarian way of life. Although the road to Masca has many twists and turns, it is well worth the effort to visit. The scenery is breathtaking, green and lush with rock formations commanding incredible views.
Playa San Juan area
Playa San Juan offers a truly wonderful holiday with its friendly Canarian charm. It is a coastal fishing village tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busier noisier resorts. There are many local fiestas, with the main one held at the end of July running into August, culminating in a magnificent firework display. The long sweeping promenade is dotted with pavement cafes, extremely good restaurants to suit all tastes, and old-style tapas bars.
It ends at the working harbour, where local fishermen arrive with their daily catches. Close to the harbour is a lovely beach area, which includes shower facilities and safe bathing. A new coastal walkway has been built behind the beach, and this commands magnificent views out to sea and to the island of La Gomera. The local market is held every Wednesday morning.
