About the home

The apartment is in a quiet complex and on the Top Floor of a 3-storey building, it has a private roof terrace with panaramic views of the Sea and Mountains. The complex also has a lift.. The apartment has a well-fitted and equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven, hob with extractor fan, and a microwave. One bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom has a walk-in shower area and a hairdryer.
In the utility room there is an automatic washing machine and space for drying clothes. The lounge has a large corner settee, TV, with English channels BBC 1 & 2, ITV 1 & 2,Channel 4 & 5 and more, a DVD Player & CD Stereo/radio a stereo, There is a dining area with table & chairs. The roof terrace has the sun most of the day with table & chairs and sun loungers.
There is also a safe in the apartment. There are shutters on the bedroom windows and blinds on the lounge and dining area windows.
Ample parking in the street outside apartment .
Clean bed linen, towels, and tea towels are provided and changed on a weekly basis.

There is a Spanish mobile telephone with 5€ credit for emergencies. A cot, highchair and pram can be supplied free of charge if required.

There is an Iron, Ironing Board and clothes airer.

On arrival you will be met by the owners who speak English. They will show you around the property and answer any questions that you may have.

Weekly cleaning including a full supply of bed linen, towels and tea towels (No beach towels).
A welcome pack is provided upon arrival, consisting of 5 litres water, tea bags, milk, sugar, & a packet of biscuits.

The Tenerife region

The year round temperate climate of Tenerife makes it an ideal destination at any time. There is plenty to see and do for couples and families and, of course, the sunny weather makes all leisure activities that much more enjoyable.

Whether having a picnic in the mountains, taking a cable car up Mount Teide or touring the coast, there are plenty of interesting places to choose from.

Siam Park is a new Adventure water park twinned with Loro Parque in the north of the island. Children and adults will also love, the Jungle Park and Monkey Zoo Park. Excursions to all attractions including the whale and dolphin watch cruises are readily available from nearby Los Gigantas and fun for all ages.
Whatever your sport you will probably find it here. The golf courses are not only a delight to be on but challenging as well, with fantastic views and an array of foliage.

Scuba diving is very popular. Activities can be enjoyed all year round due to its sunny climate and pleasant temperatures.

Sporting facilities are nearby, including fishing, big game fishing, boat trips to see the whales and dolphins, , scuba diving, waterskiing, wind surfing, swimming, paragliding, bowls, tennis, cycling. golf and walking.

Siam Water Park, and adventure parks are within easy reach.

A day visit to the nearby island of La Gomera for either sightseeing or a round of golf.

There are plenty of golf courses all over Tenerife so you could play a different course everyday, the nearest being the newly constructed Abama Golf course which is approx 10 min drive away.

In June there is the festival of flowers which is spectacular and is situated in La Oratova. Well worth a visit.
The village of Playa San Juan, is close to the beach and other local amenities including Supermarkets, Bars, and Restaurants.

As Playa San Juan is situated on the South West Coast It is close to Los Gigantes and other major resorts of Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas, with frequent local bus service to all of these places.

Further afield, is the cliff village of Masca, where people once lived without access to other parts of Tenerife, and offers an insight into the old Canarian way of life. Although the road to Masca has many twists and turns, it is well worth the effort to visit. The scenery is breathtaking, green and lush with rock formations commanding incredible views.

The Playa San Juan area

Playa San Juan offers a truly wonderful holiday with its friendly Canarian charm. It is a coastal fishing village tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busier noisier resorts. There are many local fiestas, with the main one held at the end of July running into August, culminating in a magnificent firework display. The long sweeping promenade is dotted with pavement cafes, extremely good restaurants to suit all tastes, and old-style tapas bars.

It ends at the working harbour, where local fishermen arrive with their daily catches. Close to the harbour is a lovely beach area, which includes shower facilities and safe bathing. A new coastal walkway has been built behind the beach, and this commands magnificent views out to sea and to the island of La Gomera. The local market is held every Wednesday morning in the Church Square

Amongst the many airlines you can choose from are; Monarch, Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2, and of course all the major tour operators Thomas Cook, Thomsonfly and First Choice.

Playa San Juan is about a 30 minute drive from the airport. You can hire a car from one of the many hire car companies located in the airport arrivals hall. A popular hire car company is Auto Reisen.
Immediately outside the arrivals hall you can hire a taxi, the fare is approximately 35 euros.
There are also bus shuttle companies such as El Mar who will drop you off and pickup from the apartment.
