The apartment's 'pièce de résistance' is the spectacular 60sq metre private sun terrace! It gives fabulous views on three sides: the coastline and sparkling blue of the Atlantic, to the majestic mountain range and in between, the rich foliage of a banana plantation. From this incredible vantage point you will enjoy the best views in Playa San Juan - in total privacy! So whether relaxing on the sun loungers, dining al fresco, or just enjoying pre-dinner drinks, the unique sun terrace is the place where you'll want to spend most time.
Just metres from the apartment and overlooking the marina, is a lovely plaza, with cafes and one of the island's top fish/seafood restaurants. All that's left to say is to go ahead, sample these gastronomic delights and enjoy your holiday.

The comfortable bedroom also opens directly onto the sun terrace, so what better way to start your day than stepping out, to be greeted by another glorious morning. The apartment also has a superb fully fitted kitchen, with excellent cooking facilities with ceramic hob ,oven ,toaster ,coffee maker, kettle, microwave, fridge, iron etc, and a charming dining area that encourages good food, good wine and of course good conversation.

The fixtures, fittings and furnishings throughout are of the highest order and are complimented with some lovely finishing touches, which give the apartment a homely ambiance. The spacious, lounge offers comfortable seating, television and music system, as well as lovely views across the distant mountains. The modern bathroom has a bath/shower wc and wash basin.

There are substantial storage areas and there is also a washing machine in a purpose built area on the Terrace. The apartment has a security entrance and is accessed by stairs or a modern lift.

The Bus Service in Tenerife operates very efficiently - (bus stop and Taxi's close by)

The Tenerife region

Tenerife, measuring some 2,000 square kilometres, is the largest of the Canary Islands. And it's also the one that is closest to the sky! Mount Teide, covered in snow during part of the winter, is a majestic, 3,718 metre volcano that proudly shows off its peak from many points on the island. It is also the highest point in Spain and can be clearly seen from the balcony of this property.
The south-westerly facing slopes of Tenerife have much to offer in landscape beauty and stunning beaches. Nearby are the Los Gigantes cliff formations, a truly breathtaking sight, in whose waters the dolphins quietly swim. From the port of Los Gigantes, boat trips set out to see the whales living near the coast or for a few hours big-game fishing.

The Playa San Juan area

Playa San Juan is situated on the west coast of Tenerife, just 35 minutes from the main Tenerife South airport. Although it is only 12km from Tenerife's ‘louder' resorts, such as Playa Las Americas; Playa San Juan remains a haven of tranquillity and one of the few fishing villages where you can still get a glimpse of 'real' Canarian life.

Its long sweeping seafront is dotted with charming cafes, restaurants and old-style tapas bars and the beach has a pretty marina where you can take whale and dolphin sight-seeing trips. What's more, Playa San Juan actually boasts the highest sunshine record on the island!

For those who like to walk or jog, there is a wonderful coastal promenade, offering breathtaking views out to sea. You can also view the picturesque fishing port and watch the fishermen return with their loaded nets.

If you enjoy playing golf, then the nearby stunning 18-hole, par 72, Albama championship golf course, constructed overlooking the Atlantic ,will meet your hearts desire.

“Loved it, loved it, loved it! :)” What can be said about this wonderful apartment that has not been said already? It is modern, bright, airy, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you need. But it is the terrace that really separates it from the lot. Unobstructed views from the Teide mountain to the ocean with the beach and harbour. Situated on the top floor of the building with no opposite neighbours it is very private. The terrace is equipped with comfortable sunbeds, table & chairs and a sunshade if you have had enough of the sun. It was hard to resist spending the whole holiday there! The apartment's location is perfect. Yes, there are a few other apartments in town with good locations, but none as quiet and private as this! No noise from traffic or bars, yet just 2 minutes from the beach, shops and the seafront lined with cafes and restaurants. Easy (and free) parking in the street or in a parking lot just outside the building. Just a few comments on Playa San Juan: If you still have not decided on where to stay in Tenerife when you read this and, like I did, are considering Los Gigantes as an alternative, be aware that San Juan and Los Gigantes are two very different places. The latter might be slightly more conveniently located but is much more of a mass tourism destination where you run the risk of meeting your neighbour from back home. Playa San Juan still retains a quiet and local charm. No high-rise hotels, no tourist groups. If you are looking for a place to party you should go somewhere else. As far as I know the bus connections are good, but I highly recommend renting a car. There is so much to explore from here; Teide national park, the beautiful towns along the north coast and excellent walking in the mountains in the northwest. Note: no car rental companies in San Juan (by Oct '11), so hire one at the airport or in Los Gigantes. After crisscrossing both the north and southwest of Tenerife and the town of Playa San Juan, my conclusion is: The best apartment with the best location in the most charming town in western Tenerife! Just loved it, loved it, loved it! :) Reg the owner is not only a fun person but also a very kind and helpful man. I'll be back, Reg!

“The perfect place to relax and take in the stunning views” We have just returned from our holiday here and cant wait to return. The appartment is very clean and well equiped and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It is located very close to the beach and the large sun terrace is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the spectacular views of Mounte Teide, the bannana plantations and the sea. It was lovely to sit and watch the sun rise each morning .The owner takes the time to met you and explain where everything is not only in the appartment but also the local amenities. Playa San Juan is a peaceful location with several costal walks.There are plenty of places to eat along the sea front and you can also watch fishing boats unload. Should you wish to explore the rest of the island there are regular buses to the larger resorts.

“Peace and tranquility - perfect for a restful holiday” The owner ,Reg, will meet you in person and he makes you feel really welcome Lovely apartment, spotlessly clean with everything you need incliding a washing machine! The sun terrace is the icing on the cake. Lots of local places to enjoy a snack or an evening meal.

“Fabulous apartment” This apartment lived up to all expectations. It has a huge balcony with stunning views of the sea and the mountains and an attractive interior which was well equipped with all the crockery, cutlery and electrical items needed . It's a stones throw away from the beach and has restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Playa de San Juan is a lovely location and is an ideal spot for touring the rest of the island. We normally stay in villas or houses as we enjoy the peace and privacy they provide. However this apartment provided all of this and more. Reg the owner was very helpful in recommending restaurants, walks and places to visit. One small quibble is that it would have been useful to have internet access. The place we initially booked was very disappointing and we were lucky to find such a wee gem at short notice. Thanks Reg for being so accommodating. We had a wonderful holiday in Tenerife.
