Los Aguacates is ideal for a relaxing holiday or an excellent base to explore this exciting island.
The apartment consists of a spacious lounge with patio doors that open onto a double width balcony. It is tastefully furnished and includes a new sofa bed and recliner chair etc. The adjacent kitchen has recently been refitted and boasts a host of extras.
The bedroom was refitted last year and has adequate wardrobes (with private safe inside) and cupboards. The bedroom as well as the lounge has a 52 inch ceiling fan and patio doors to the balcony.

Further details indoors:
The apartment faces east, with panoramic views of palm trees, sea and the sand dunes. Ideal for morning sun but a bit cooler later in the day. It is NOT situated next to an all night disco or bar. It is in an area that is normally quiet.
There are two lifts to all floors.
There is a good selection of pre-recorded videos, books and board games.
Additional coin operated washing machines downstairs. A laundry service offering dry cleaning service can be found in a nearby building.

On the balcony there are two reclining chairs, table, two upright chairs and flowering plants.
The pool and garden area has two pools of which one is for children and there is seldom a problem finding a free sun bed.
Excellent restaurant and bar accessible from pool area or from in the house.
The supermarket is well stocked to suit most needs, including fresh bread and croissant daily.
You will find a large car park opposite the apartment.
Conditions
There are two lifts to all floors.

The Gran Canaria region


Gran Canaria lies off the north-west coast of Africa and has the greatest variety of scenery of all the Canary Islands. Featuring everything from towering rock faces and majestic canyons to deep green valleys ablaze with exotic flowers. There is also a colourful array of tropical vegetation with cacti almond trees and sugar cane flourishing in Gran Canaria's pleasant year round climate.
On the southern coastline you will find resorts of Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles where the apartment is situated. This area is wrapped in golden beaches and at the very tip of the island is the fantastic landscape of the Maspalomas sand dunes.
Average temperature ranges from 19 C to 25 C.
The Playa Del Ingles area
Playa del Ingles is Gran Canaria's largest and busiest resort set like an oasis on the sun baked southern coast beside miles of splendid beaches bounded by the Sahara like dunes, palms and lagoons of Maspalomas. You will find virtually every kind of water sport and as well as activities like golf, go-karting and camel riding. The resort has a staggering array of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and night spots.
San Fernando, a local Spanish town, is about 20 minutes walk away.
Other places worth visiting is the capital city Las Palmas, the botanical park of Los Palmitos, the fishing port Puerto Mogan and the city of Agaete.

Fly to Las Palmas Airport. Playa del Ingles is about 25km from airport.
Normally a good choice of flights from most airports.
Local buses run regularly from airport to resort and there is always taxis available (fare last Feb was 35 Euro).
Car hire available at the airport, at least 3 or 4 companies, or you can book before you go.
Car is not necessary but is nice to have to be able to explore the island.

An excellent accommodation, ideally situated with great food served in the restuarant downstairs. The apartment is well equiped with a lovely verandah with sea views of the sand dunes. A very short walk across the road to the beach. Lifts are provided if stairs are a problem to this apartment which is beautifully furnished and has plenty of storage space. The restuarant has a varied menu and staff are very pleasant but the apartment is well equiped if you intend to eat in. The pool area is lovely with plenty of sunbeds although we did go in October so might not be so during the summer. We will certainly be using it again and will tell our family and friends if they intend to stay in the area.
